The Countdown Has Begun...... Fallout 3

Might go with it on *** PC then, just hope I can run it well enough.

Or go for console for the 50inch viewing :D

That's exactly the reason I'm getting it for the 360.

Hmm you'd be better off with PC if you can run it, hook it up to your TV and get some proper high res stuff going on.

But I do prefer sitting back in my chair and playing on PC with an even higher res... despite having a big TV it's not made for it!

Not at all :) You can pick up and play Fallout 3 without playing or knowing anything about the previous two.

Sad to hear it has been leaked though (360) if it's true and not just some virus-infested archive.

It's true. I've checked up on it. 'Sadly' for me I don't do pirated xbox360 games (or, tbh, non-pirated ones) so I'll just have to wait till I can buy the PC version :)

All these software companies complaining about PC games being pirated, this has already come out on the torrents site, for xbox 360, not PC. They need to blame something else me thinks.

Every 360 game gets released, as does every PC, Wii, DS, PSP and PS2 game, that wasnt the point they were making (however invalid it was).

I do just that when I play Crysis/Crysis Warhead, but for games that are out on the 360 I just get the 360 version, simply because it's easier than faffing about with the PC.

Besides, my 'game shop' already has it 'in stock' for the 360 ;)

Taken directly from the Wiki ...

"Fallout 3 has has been positively received by several critics. PC Gamer France awarded the title a score of 93%, complimenting the game's variety and replayability. GMC Italy gave it a 9/10, citing the strong graphics and combat, but criticising the AI. PC Gamer Sweden scored the title at 81%, criticising the game for feeling "lifeless".".

LOL. It's a post-apocalyptic environment FFS where most people are tucked safely away in their vaults

Windows vista 64 and games for windows dont mix particularly well. Ive got a couple of them and the DRM means i have to download no cd cracks to play them, despite having no emulation software installed.

Its a shame, no point in buying the PC one unless i revert back to windows xp.

That's weird, goes against the whole idea of Games For Windows then.

Games which wish to be included in the Games for Windows platform must meet certain requirements regulated by Microsoft. These include,[3] but are not limited to:

* An "Easy Install" option that installs the title on your PC in the fewest possible steps and mouse clicks
* Compatibility with the Windows Vista Games Explorer (see below)
* Installs and runs properly on x64 versions of Windows Vista and is compatible with 64-bit processors (though the game itself can be 32-bit)
* Supports normal and widescreen resolutions, such as 4:3 aspect ratio (800 x 600, 1024 x 768), 16:9 aspect ratio (1280 x 720), and 16:10 aspect ratio (1152 x 720, 1280 x 800)
* Launching from Media Center (Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Vista Ultimate have Media Center)

While not a required feature at this time, some Games For Windows certified games are playable during the game's installation, making PC games more convenient and more similar to console games, in that players aren't required to wait until the game's installation is complete before they can play the game. This feature is known as Tray and Play but is only available in Halo 2 as of now.

Just had a bash of the 360 version. And all i can say is WOW! on the PC this will look great. I cant wait now!

ITs really good and feels amazing, the frame rate is unbelievable! It runs very smooth when loads is happening and its a very funny game.

Its only £20.00 on PC :D

Ye it's quite a dilema for me, but atm have the same plan as Drexel. 8800GT in a few weeks to pair with my 2gb ram and 3.5ghz E6300 could sway it, but 50inches of goodness will be great, but then not so good with a joypad. Then of course there is the gf who will always moan at me to get off the tv and go play something on the pc instead. Ahhhh I will make a pie chart and analyse this data to see which one wins out :D

Meh, will wait for the reviews and see how it run son others peoples systems before getting it.

This game looks like the perfect hybrid offspring of Bioshock and Stalker - being what both of those games could have been!

I know that the Fallout series pre-dates both of those games but you know what I mean?

argh i dunno what to get i got CE on preorder i so want that lunch box. but the LE with the model looks pretty cool. I might just pop into my local purple shirt shop on the day and see if the model is quality made and buy it.

Getting this for the PC im uber excited. Wonder how long it will be till the PC ver is "leaked" :p

I own a fair few GFW's and I run Home Premium x64, can't say I've ever noticed a problem to be honest.
