That is still very good, and even after accounting for 6 weeks holiday is ~£31k a year based on an 8 hour a day week. Thats pretty much the median uk salary, and is more than a teacher's starting salary..

Seems to be the going rate for cleaners in our area but when you scale it up does seem a lot.

But include travel and the fact you lose a lot of time travelling between jobs and more fuel etc

I’d like to think after this incident I’m pretty unbiased

Travel, fuel, materials, insurance etc. no one is taking home much more than NMW from that £20 I'd bet.

Well, it is unskilled labour, so based on our economy, probably minimum/living wage or very slightly more.

I mean no disrespect when saying this, and i think everyone in the country deserves more money. However based on our current economy, i don't see how you could argue that they should be paid anymore for what they do?
