The Crew

I just bought a new car to mix things up a little, I was getting a little bored of the Challenger so went and bought the BMW Z4. So much more fun and nimble, it's really brought the fun back into the game. It's a shame they didn't offer a few more cars when starting out, or even having more cars in the game.

I was the same. I was bored of my Skyline/Dodge/McLaren and now I have a Ford Focus, which is my main car for anything I can use it for including just driving around. It's great when your Focus flies past someone Ferrari or the like :p . It just feels like a good handling car in general.

Just about to play this with my new 970...

any tips before i play i saw earlier fw pages back about few fixes on options to adjust car handling etc? are they still worth doing?

also can wireless 360 pad used at all?

Thanks!

Only thing that is bugging me now is cut scenes where it shows your car driving down the street it stutters like hell i know i can skip them but i like watching them for some strange reason

Do you have an AMD card?

I'd recommend using the control settings mentioned a few pages back as they made an incredible difference for me. I'm using the wireless 360 controller with no issues at all.

When you pick your first car you'll be using that for a good 20% of the game so choose wisely, adjust your controls, pick your assist level and test drive each one thoroughly (see which gives you the best lap time around the dealership). Full assists give you the fastest times since traction control delivers maximum power without loss but Sport is a nice mixture in between. When purchasing a particular specification (Street/Dirt/Perf/Raid/Circuit) you can purchase with all parts upgraded to your current level, however, after that you can't pay to upgrade those parts again. So for me I only bought one car for each spec and will save the cash until I reach level 50 to upgrade its parts to level 50 immediately.

You can also buy a Circuit spec Dodge Viper with Ubisoft points so I was able to save in game cash by grabbing that after reaching level 40. I'm at level 47 now so as soon as I hit 50 I'll be picking up a Circuit spec Ford GT. I'm a little annoyed I didn't stay away from the Fiesta until level 50 for the Perf spec.

Think i have completed the game a bit to much lads

So, i went ahead and got the Crew, first impressions, storywise xD

But ignoring that, it feels better than the beta its not as...Clunky control wise, as it was in the beta, I might enjoy this, before I went to bedlast night I got to where you get your safe house.

I also chose the 370z as my first car.

So can we cruise around with people? I'm gonna install it on my 9800GTX rig with a 17" monitor at 1280*1024 should be ok hopefully.

On my main rig, it runs smooth on high settings at 1080p, Ultra it grinds to a halt, but Ultra does not look vastly different.

If you're using a pad to play, try the settings Trentlad put up a page back, makes the cars handle so much nicer

I found it wasn't enjoyable when I considered it a racing game alone, but when I thought of it as an almost MMORPG with cars, it got more enjoyable :p Starts off really slow and boring but once the cars have levelled up a little, they're much better.

I went with the Challenger for my first car and whilst fun, it was a bit boring so I mixed it up and purchased the Z4 which I'm really enjoying. I've also got an M5 but I've not yet started the Perf spec stuff yet.
