The Crew

When you buy a new spec of the car, you can choose to buy the car fully kitted out with level 10/20/30/40/50 parts... are you able to fully kit out a car you've already purchased?

For instance, when I got to level 20 I bought the Fiesta RS Street and Perf spec and equiped them with level 20 parts. Now I'm level 32 but I can't seem to upgrade all parts to level 30 parts on existing cars, only if I buy a brand car.

That's how it works I believe.

http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/977091-Car-tuning-Kits?

"You cannot tune a car with a lvl20+ kit when you already put a lvl10 kit to it.
Once a car has kit equipped you can only use skill tests and missions to gain new parts.
A fresh car however can be quipped with a kit you like (10-40)."

A solid answer when that question was asked. Makes sense from personal experience, something I fell fowl of myself.

Feedback on the wheel setup, I copied a cfg file from over on their forum posted by one of the devs. Worked a lot better.

Thanks la lot okiss! That makes a hard choice now... I guess I should save up and buy a fancy car after reaching level 50 but will that affect my enjoyment of reaching that level??? Driving the street spec Fiesta RS is no where near as fun as the Perf spec so I hate it when missions require a street spec car so I could just buy a new mustang and the street spec level 30. Tough choice!!

I've just bought this game, it was a bit of an impulse buy as I've paid £45 on STEAM for it, I feel robbed :'(

Hope it's worth it, and I hope my PC (Specs in Sig) will run this game ok.

Do you think I'd get away with a Dual Core C2D E8400 @ 3.7GHz with 4gig ram and a 9800GTX? That's the PC my parents have and I want to give it a go whilst I'm at home.

it should be ok with the detail turned down etc and target fps left at 30.

A 5870 is pretty dated now but the graphics dont appear to be particularly demanding so you might be ok.

You're one gen up from the minimum requirements so, drivers permitting, you'll run it fine:
OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64bit only)
Processor: Intel Core2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.5 GHz or AMD Athlon II X4 620 @ 2.6 GHz (or better)
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX260 or AMD Radeon HD4870 (512MB VRAM with Shader Model 4.0 or higher)

Let us know you're experience after you've installed and had a play. I'd be interested to see how generous they are when it comes to minimum requirements.

EDIT: Well that's solid! Folks are talking about drafting and giving the Camero a little push but you'd need a 1299 point car to even begin to compete.

Not even close.

Think im 300 something. Nice to see them being active and throwing a few bones out there though.

Anyone doing this?

Currently busy filling out the map on the East coast and doing side-missions. Last session I ended up just driving from New York down to Miami through Daytona then decided on planning on a road trip to Las Vegas. :p

Think they missed out though on forcing us to have a single avatar for the story missions, could've been great fun having a casino/player housing update that TDU 2 had. Can only hope they come out in future DLC.

I just bought a new car to mix things up a little, I was getting a little bored of the Challenger so went and bought the BMW Z4. So much more fun and nimble, it's really brought the fun back into the game. It's a shame they didn't offer a few more cars when starting out, or even having more cars in the game.

In my opinion, this is the best simucade racer I've ever played and I've played them all bar the Test Drive series.

Really impressed with the world, the vehicle upgrade progression feels good, love finding real life players on the map that race through streets with you, missions are fun, controls are great and adjustable, graphics are acceptably decent, nearly stutter free. I would like to have more money to buy some decent cars but I can see how that would be game breaking which is ok, because we can buy different specs to add more fun.

Only thing that is bugging me now is cut scenes where it shows your car driving down the street it stutters like hell i know i can skip them but i like watching them for some strange reason

Think midtown madness, meets flatout, meets need for speed...oldschool (1-5) and new (underground/pursuits).

That's what im enjoying about it, 3 of my favourite series. You could even throw in eurotruck if all you like doing is cruising around, the open road network is totally seemless and smooth as butter.

For me ubisoft are missing a trick if they don't explore that element of the game, look how popular euro truck has been.

Grrrr still having problems, can't invite my friends to form a crew. Just says, they could not join your crew! Seriously annoying.

My friends are on my uplay list which appear on my crew roster under friends but just cant invite them to join me. I can see them on the map but cant physically see them when I fast travel to them.
