So the perks you apply take effect on any car your driving not just the cars you own? For example any car the story throws at you that is not your own?.
I have only put perks into racing line, I must be sitting on 30+ what a waste, I should use them...

Well, the nitrous one does so I assume the rest do as well. Also, there are plenty of decent perks for saving money or getting more money if you dont want the performance perks
 
Does anyone know if there are some perf spec cars that don't have ridiculous wheelspin when using nitrous, especially at high speed? Its virtually impossible to use the nitrous on the perf spec hot rod at anything above 150mph without it spearing off into the undergrowth

Do you have to pay for it in game as well or is it delivered to your garage for free after downloading it? I just got it after my last session and cba to boot the game up and find out :p

That is amazing, thanks very much for that. I know he hasn't done the hotrod, but I suspect the wheelspin rating he would give it is "running on the rims" or something because it is way worse than the 370Z that I have, which he rates as "running on bald tyres"

Having just watched his video I'm honestly confused as to how he got so much wheelspin with the 370Z. My one isn't even close to being that bad (admittedly with a mix of level 20-30 upgrades on it). have they put out an update to fix the Nissan or something?

Done a bit of testing in a Bentley Continental Supersport - Circuit spec.

Done a few laps around that oval track and this is what I found while using nitrous:

All assist
With all assist enabled, your wheels do spin, but your car remains straight and continues to gain speed.

Sport
With sport enabled, your car starts to lose control and you have to manually adjust it slightly to keep it straight.

Hardcore
The car goes crazy. Snaking all over the place. Because of the amount of corrections you have to make just to keep just to keep the car in a straight line, you end up losing speed.

I can be difficult to control on a controller, god knows how people with wheels would manage.

Personally, I usually use Sport as a happy medium. If I'm just cruising around, I'll switch to hardcore for a bit more fun.
 
If you have unlocked the perf spec hidden car could you have a go with that to see if its me being a big baby or if it is genuinely a problem with assists set to hardcore.

I've tried my very best messing with the config values in that extra config file you can make, but i just cant get rid of the horrid vibrations whenever a non-raid car goes over bumps. Has anyone got any miracle cures to get rid of the vibration even if it means removing FFB from bumps (only) altogether?

Does anyone get an annoying stutter randomly every now and again? Its annoying as it runs perfectly and then for no reason there will be a stutter/freeze for a split second just enough to put break concentration and cause me to crash
 
After trying different lines and trying to figure out the best way to use the NOS here is my latest effect, i know i can get under 1.05 but it needs to be the perfect run to achieve it.

After at least two hours of completely fruitless runs, pretty much all of them down to the traffic driving straight into me for no reason, this is the best I can do time wise. I think I scraped the traffic 4 times on this run and hit some of the many objects in the little shortcut so the delivery score was hopeless, but I'll take a moral victory from the time if no one beats the time:

If we have another time attack, can we please make it in a place with very little or no traffic please, because this level is seriously getting on my nerves

The only issue I get is the game flashing back to desktop for a couple of seconds then going back into the game, the car stays still but the timer still runs down.. Annoying

Yes, we are doing "the shakedown" just west of Chicago now, we must beat Martys score :D and the best..... No traffic! (just an annoying hill at the end)

I'm really liking this time attack. No traffic and no ridiculous jumps that send you spearing off the road :D

Got this after only 4 or 5 attempts. The start of this run was really good, but a couple of bad gear choices cost me big time on the hill

I've had a few more goes. Doubt I could find much more than this without extra perks (if the extra perks even give any bonuses to these vehicles apart from nitrous, which I have now maxed out)

I don't know if anyone has played the mission "escape velocity" in the north of the mountain area, but it is abysmal in the perf spec hot rod. I barely managed to make it in time because of the constant wheelspin with anything more than 3/4 throttle

apologies for so many updates in one post, but its DEFINITELY the hot rod that is the problem. I tried a race in the snow and was getting destroyed despite being 200 points above the competition. I bought a ford focus and upgraded it to level 40 perf spec and despite being about 100 points worse than my hot rod, it was 1000x better. dunno if the ht rod is better in other areas, but it is bad enough on traction to warrant an update to give it more grip
