I use the G27. While I cant get the FFB to stop the wheel from rattling massively over the dirt, it is reasonable on smooth roads, especially considering it is a simcade game at best.
In the logitech profiler's settings for the crew you want the following:
- Overall effects strength: 100%
- Spring effects strength: 0%
- Damper Effects strength: 0%
- Do not enable centring spring
- Centring spring strength: Doesn't matter as it is disabled. I left it at 100% though
- Do not report combined pedals
- 900 degrees of rotation
- Do not allow game to adjust settings
I could not get this to work when attached to the crew.exe, but it finally worked when i made this the global settings. They are the settings you want for pretty much any modern game though so it didn't bother me
In game you want to go through the wheel setup, ensuring that it recognises the wheel is 900 degrees (took me a couple of restarts for it to finally realise that).
The graphs for the pedals and the steering want to be totally straight. To slightly reduce the rattling of the FFB I put the overall strength down to about 50%
That should cover the basics. I suspect that your problem is that the cars drive horribly after jumps. you really do want to be completely off the power for the landing of a jump because the car will sometimes spin uncontrollably if you don't
