Thanks a lot for that review YoungBlood. That review along with you and others saying it reflects your expreience has made me pick up this beauty.

This game is excellent! I've lived in Detroit and can tell you they've done a fantastic job of the downtown area. I was just messing around and found the baseball stadium (called America Park instead of Comerica Park), just driving around that area is remarkable. I just can't believe how well they've recreated the city and hope the other cities are as true to life as Detroit.

If you think Detroit is only the 8-Mile style houses on fire with urban warfare then go and visit the 'Bloomfield Hills' location. It's literally in the top 5 most wealthy US locations!

Has anyone got any tips to making the cars handle a bit better. I find myself constantly steering left and right to try get it going in a straight line.

Using an Xbox 360 pad but not sure what deadzone to have etc.

You unlock aftermarket parts every mission and every street mini-race, I get more parts from the mini-races. They let you either equip the parts immediatey or store them but each one improves the cars performance.

I tried adding trentlad to my crew yesterday to do some missions together however it wouldn't let me no matter what i did. Same with his side, neither of us could add each other.

Anybody know why it doesn't work? I suspected its because he was still in prologue missions but surely it shouldn't affect it?

Need help on this.

Taken from the UBI forums during beta and still works now

Step 0: Plug in a 360 controller and set the mode to Sport.
Step 1: See the Steering Speed Factor slider? Move it all the way to the right.
Step 2: Like Forza? Move Steering Linearity to two ticks from the lowest setting (left-most). Like NFS? Move Steering Linearity to two ticks from the highest setting (right-most).
Step 3: Leave Steering Sensitivity in the middle-ish. Just a tick or two up or down from center, based on preference.
Step 4: ????
Step 5: Profit

Enjoy having your car not handle like a brick in an ice rink.

Also tweak the steering deadzone a little, ive got mine 2 clicks from most left. Dependent on your 360 joysticks.

I've put a little time into this and I'm starting to really enjoy it. I hated it at first but I changed my mindset from thinking it was a racer, to thinking it was an MMORPG. Start off rubbish, keep working and levelling the car up until it's good

Im looking at getting a G27 wheel with pedals and shifter but its bloody expensive!

Love this game! Have a couple problems with it though the total car miles doesn't get counted properly! Achievements don't seem to be counted properly. And (unless it was bugging out not counting) completing certain things doesn't award you with a award eg last night I got platinum on all scrambles and thought it was something worth getting a award for!

I just tried this and hated it. I actually prefer the default settings and can control the car better. I am crap at these games though.

WOW!!!!! That made such a huge difference in steering. I'm genuinely stunned they gave us such a powerful control mechanic adjustment.

I followed the Forza style setup and it's sweet perfection. Thank you so much KnightStalker!

We both tried and would accept a crew invitation, see a greyed out username added to our crew list then the invite would time out. It's worked with everyone else just not each other.

Is this due to progress difference?

I hope uPlay allow custom Avatars soon because the standard avatards are hilariously bad and there's only seven. At least it makes me laugh every time I see it.

You hit the nail on the head there, I just can't get enough of trying to beat track times from my friends list. There's an Aston Martin delivery race, so you're driving the exact same car as your friends... beating that time is all about skill!

Think you got the skillz:
- display 'Story Missions' on the map
- zoom into the Dearborne area of Michigan (Midwest)
- see what time you can clock on 'Watch The Paint'

Has anyone else had issues getting limited edition content to become usable? I'm on lvl 9 and haven't had any unlock messages

My copy is an nvidia coupon jobbie if that makes any difference

Yeah 'Watch The Paint' is a really fun race and it's right near the start so everyone can join in and try to set a time. Even the cutscene is skippable so it's a delight to restart and it's not too long either.

There's a Porsche race later on with eight racers and setting a time on that is a nightmare; one of the seven AI wreck and take you with them, you take a corner too wide or one of them shoves you out the way and it's so long which just increases the chance of any of these... the worst part is the unskippable 20 second start-line cutscene because they're advertising Xfinity plastered all over the cars. Still, that would be a fun race if we could all join and race Crew 1 vs Crew 2.

I also used the NVidia 'Choose Your Path' code and I'm pretty sure we weren't given the Limited Edition.

I think it's the standard edition.

Tbh as much as im enjoying it, that'd be my only bugbear with the game. As much as dlc is a thing that people do these days, it just ain't me. They've gone a little bit light on the car/variety list compared to other games of the ilk/genre. With the options to buy virtually everything for a price, it all seems to be a little blatantly so, nailing it in the head for me.

Bit of a mini rant, but each to their own, like the game... just that

Anyhoo, you guys seem a fairly decent lot, feel free to look/add me in the game, im a fair guy ill help anybody out, or get my backside kicked on your behalf
