Where do you type in this command? Is it in the dos?

Also what changes will occur to the default settings of the crysis 2 demo?

I know it is blurry so will those commands help with the reduction of it?:)

you'll be suprised the difference it makes

look a few posts up and someone told me how to do it. just be sure to put a space after the .exe"

You will need to create a desktop shortcut if you don’t have it.
Open explorer and goto your steam folder.
Then \steamapps\common\cysis 2 demo\bin32
Find crysis 2 demo exe, right click and create shortcut. Drag that shortcut to the desktop
Then right click the shortcut properties
In there you will see a target box, add +cl_fov=90 +r_DrawNearFoV = 90 +pl_movement.power_sprint_targetFov = 90 +r_MotionBlur=0 +g_skipIntro=1 +i_mouse_smooth=0
At the end of whats typed (after the “)

Enjoy :)

Also what changes will occur to the default settings of the crysis 2 demo?

I know it is blurry so will those commands help with the reduction of it?:)

+i_mouse_smooth=0 (turns off mouse smoothing)
+g_skipIntro=1 (skips the startup intro)
+r_MotionBlur=0 (turns off motion blur)

And the following three commands will change your field of view:

+cl_fov=90
+r_DrawNearFoV = 90
+pl_movement.power_sprint_targetFov = 90

Just installed the demo and was trying to create an account, but every time I hit submit it tells my e-mail address is already in use ... all 5 addresses so far.

Orly?

Edit: Anyone else had problems with Gmail/yahoo/rocketmail accounts when registering ?.

I had the same problem. I found that if you use @googlemail.com instead of @gmail.com it worked fine. All goes the same place as well :)

Had the same issues.
In the end I just raged a bit and mashed the keypad a little.

Login : fgjldfhgsdfgsdfg
email : [email protected]
(or something like that)

It worked fine :p

Seems it doesn't need to authenticate against a working address!

Lol! im trying this, thought it was going to work as took a bit of time then said i had same username so adjusted. Tried again & it said the email was in use????

All i did was put in like "dflknlpodfngl;[email protected]" lol, in use my arse. 6 days & still no luck getting into this demo. Seriously pathetic. Least the pc game seems bit sweeter than the xbox version (no surprise with the higher res).

I used to select the smallest crosshair possible in Counterstrike, DOD and UT, too, which I could do via the games menu.

I guess it's largely psychological but I find if I aim small, I miss small.

Fairly sure changing the size in those games had no affect on the diameter of the inside points though, and I know in UT the crosshair didn't show spread at all - it was just simply a crosshair that you could enlarge or make smaller. Can't remember for the other games though.

It seems it might be refusing you on a login with new credentials, if you then change one field it will say it already exists based on the other.
Hopefully the full game won't have this issue....

Does it matter lol. Horses for courses and all that...

WingZero30, I forgot to mention there's actually a neat little program that'll add the commands and more with just a few clicks of the mouse, link below:

http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=1776333

I'd avoid the AA and edge AA settings though as enabling them makes my picture go funky when ingame.

Well, yes it matters. The whole point of crosshairs that adjust according to player movment is to show how widely your shots can spread. If you change it, then its telling you that they will spread more/less than they will. I'm not someone who takes note of this information on screen generally, but if you're someone who does then it will matter for it to be correct.

Then don't change it. Like I said, horses for courses.

Edit: why isn't the Steam link in my last post working, have ocuk blocked links to the Steam forums?

D:\crysis2demo\bin32\Crysis2Demo.exe +cl_fov=90 +r_DrawNearFoV = 90 +pl_movement.power_sprint_targetFov = 90 +r_MotionBlur=0 +g_skipIntro=1 +i_mouse_smooth=0

Add that to your shortcut target :p

Thanks! Seemed to also improve my fps somehow!

thats exactly my problem with these arguments! nobody is happy, period! complaint, complaint, complaint with no real relevance, people want 'photo-realistic' games and thats just not happening, even if it did they'd all start endlessly complaining about how bad it runs and how '60FPS is required for smooth gameplay' or else they're not touching it. heard the same old crap over and over again, sometimes I wonder why I even bother.

yes, dont worry Crysis 2 will look excellent, but will it have good shooting mechanics like Vegas 2, because the first CRYSIS definitely didn't:mad:

i.e i can remember shooting Koreans in the head quite often and the ******** wouldn't die, just like Fallout 3 and this seriously annoys me.

as for games looking lifelike/photo-realistic.... no, that's years away yet, because it's all about depth of field/stereoscopic eyesight, 3D is not the same thing and that still looks crap; just like it did 25 years ago.

what's your field of vision/peripheral, it's close to 170 degrees, what's it in a game; strait ahead only, now this is a huge drawback; especially if you're being outflanked.

thus gaming wont be realistic until it's hot wired into your brain, like you're on Acid :D:D

“Piracy is a real concern. The PS3 has been cracked now as well and people are downloading PS3 games and 360 games are being downloaded so that’s a threat to just the industry in general. For us specifically, it was a very traumatic experience because we’re really excited about the game and the quality that we were able to get into it and what we were able to accomplish… …We’re at the end and we’re really excited about where we’re at and your game gets leaked. And it’s not even that the final version of the game gets leaked, you know?
“Oh god, that was terrible. We went through all the phases of loss in the office. Afterwards it was denial. ‘No, this isn’t happening. No, this isn’t true. Oh, this can’t be happening.’ The whole denial phase of it. Then angry. ‘WHO DID THIS? How did this happen?’ People saying like, ‘He’d better not come to the office’ It wasn’t an employee but you know, whoever did this, whoever was Patient Zero. If I ever find this guy…
Hans Zimmer's

The awesome music that we created that’s also on the internet for download now. We had announcements that we were gonna make with the talent that we worked with – we were so excited about that.

As a composer my self i love Hans Zimmer's music....but surely the money would have been better spent on the GAME ( the pc version at least :p). That man does not come cheap!

They should have hired me! I would have been much cheaper!

Well I bit the bullet and downloaded the demo last night. Not bad. Has potential. Wish they had given a SP demo instead. Still it's good and I might just buy it :)

After finally giving myself some time to play the demo last night I ended up at midnight as a level 8 something or other ( I forgot the rank it attributes to this number) and a customized Assualt based character.

I am still getting used to the new suit functions but overall I enjoyed the demo and will be setting aside more time tonight to get all the way to level 10.
