***** The Crysis 2 Thread *****

good luck chaps, you should have saved your money.

Graphics settings are still same to demo, it still says things like "adjust TV" and crossfire/sli scaling results in worse performance than single gpu aswell as it having screen flickering.

Some people are just geared to hate games anyway, before even playing them.

Even if it was the best game ever, and they really enjoyed it, they wouldn't admit it

any slight problem though, and they jump on it as proof that they were right all along.

And people do praise games which are good. I dont get this thing where people like to **** each other off just because they have different opinion. if you like it fair enough ignore my post and spend your time playing it.

^^yes, you've found something that confirms the views you already had. well done.

Anyway, mess around with the ini. files, and you'll get this game looking amazing.
most people will be happy with the settings provided in game(the masses)
where as more 'enthusiast' players will mess around with settings no matter how many ingame options are available.

btw, who is that guy in the vid? See him in quite a few.

There's a quick-fix around for the crossfire issues until ATi release a fixed CAP.

I imagine the NVidia sli fix will be available soon as well.

think i used one of his vids for help when building my first pc last year.

Why are so many games having problems with crossfire/SLI at launch i wonder?

Same with DA2, although it was sorted with a few tweaks(unfortunately;))

At a guess, its because they have been made for consoles mainly, so the coding required for crossfire/sli doesnt really exist on release day for pc, so they then have to implement a rushed patch.

just a guess.

Okay ive entered my serial key for multiplayer gets to menu, i quit to re-deem code go back to multiplayer menu and it asks for the key again :s (I dont mean the key for the content i mean the actualy serial just to avoid any confusion)

Help people :P

Log in to MP with your key, then quit out to SP, change a setting or two in the options, save and that should fix it.

my point is more that people don't like to concede at all. They get in to a mindset early, and then are in that frame of mind all the time, and will not change their views:)
Lots of discussions in the DA2 thred with people bashing the game before even playing it, so that even if they did enjoy it, which is almost impossible if you have that attitude, they would not admit it.
I am going to approach this game optimistically, and give it a chance. But if i do not enjoy it, believe me, i will be voicing my dissapointment also.:)

My friend i think the reason why is because about 5-6 years ago pc gaming was never really like this, games "big title" didnt usually seem that rushed, or buggy. So all the old time gamers who played back in those days see how it is now and are getting very annoyed about the standard of games being released on pc today. As they know the potential of what current pc games with current hardware should be like.

Unfortunatley new pc gamers didnt experience this so they end up sticking up for the games now which are mainly console ports, and have been made for insane profits.
Pc Games should'nt be this annoying to play.

So is single player campain any good.?
I have played multiplayer demo only.
I love crysis & crysis warhead. Is it similar.?

And where is he proving to us it's a poor quality game? He's having issues with certain graphics cards, as well as the fact we can't use AA yet (something another big PC game has shipped without in the past two weeks but isn't get half the criticism of Crysis 2).

I just don't understand how the argument of "the graphics aren't good enough" can be considered anything other than ridiculous by mature gamers. My favourite game of all time looks positively horrendous by today's standards. My favourite game of last year was a 2d side-scrolling platformer made of nothing but blocks. Of course as a fan of the first game I'm not at all against nice graphics, but they don't come in to play when I decide if a game is good or not.

I get that people spend a lot on computers so desperately want games to run to their full visual potential, but I can't fathom the thinking behind comments like "you're wasting your money" when the reasoning behind it has nothing to do with the quality of the gameplay. Games are a form of home entertainment, nothing more - if the gameplay and story of Crysis 2 entertain me (which I have no doubt they will), then it will be money well spent in my book. It's not like a professional racer getting a new car without it's turbo-charger unlocked, or a football club spending big money on a player that's going to be injured for 6 months. It's a frickin' computer game.

Crytek assure us patches will come in time to improve the graphics, but that doesn't bother me as I'm excited to just play the game, not count the pixels. For now it's still one of the best looking games in history (if not the best in some departments).

The aim down sights sensitivity is exactly the same as the normal sensitivity and it's driving me mad. I'm having to just leave the sensitivity low and throw my mouse across the room if I want to turn around.
Had a look around and there doesn't seem to be any way of fixing it :(
