Hi bifday2k what memory you using l have mine at manufactures max volts - 1.66v, have you if not this might be your prob.

The memory i use is OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Obsidian CL 9-9-9-24 1.65v

Which i generally run slower and tighter more like 1200/1300/1400mhz with 7,7,7,16/8,8,8,20 timings.
When i build my rig they where on offer and a good £50+ cheaper then any other kit, this was when the tri channel kits where £150+, got these for £115 lol.
Here's a quick Pi run though, to lazy to mess with other vaults to see if i can get more, probably can will just take more tweaking. Oh and yup i turned HT off, as PI is single threaded lol.

LoL. l never turn it off, how much difference does it make with no HT.
Generally you can clock that little bit higher (if not lazy), less heat. I always turn it off if im planning on just doing a PI run as i know the HT won't help the time one bit.
Just means the cpu dos'nt have to work as much, so generally means u can get that little extra..

Run on the fritz chess bench.
Tried running the cpc bench on the old a64 4000, took ages so i gave up on it, almost fell asleep waiting on it.

Did the test again with the 2600k at 4.8ghz now I got it stable.I got a little bit faster

OK, a mild overclock for you. Not a fully water cooled system but thought it would be interesting.
i7 990X with H70 cooler, oc'd to 4.1 (153*27)

Overall score: 2428 points.

What RAM you using bud? You'll have more memory bandwidth if you use 200 BLCK and 20 multi
