The CustomPC Media Benchmarking Suite

thought i'd give this thread a little bump with my latest effort :p

doing my damndest to pass those i7 930's that are ahead of me......

may need to push for 4.4:eek: and maybe a new gpu

Thats a nice one kwango mate, i take it you got the new cooler? 65c at load is pretty nice, btw mate, the cans of air worked pretty well on my ol rig, 8c drop on my gpu's, 5c on my cpu, but no discount from my nephew, the next saturday your in that shop mate, mention the setter, my nephew will be the wee guy behind the counter, ginger haired kid.:)

Yes mate I picked up a venomous x in mm for 27 quid. After all my concerns about blocking ram slots and the heat spreaders on my ram, the ven x fits a treat and blocks none of the slots-result.

Liking the load temps a lot, idle temps much the same tho if not slightly higher!! Go figure that one!?!?

But prime for an hour at 3.2 and temps never got above 55.

Going to shoot for 4.4 at some point this week. My chip seems quite happy at 4.2 @ 1.35v. Tho CPU-Z is only reporting @1.328v for 4.2.

Come on everyone get your CPU OC'd, it does not matter what you have give it a whirl, l can't OC my CPU any higher 4.505GHz. l think JeffyB is top for the i7920 d0 at 4.534GHz and he has reached his limit as well, cracking effort bud well done. ;) >

PS-Apart from your result join in the banter as well, its been a great thread, lets keep it on the page 1. :)

Nice score bump TheKwango, good to see this thread back on page 1 :)

Table updated :)

thank you sir, tho i may well be back in the not too distant future, i'm determined to get myself ahead of those i7 930's.....if even only temporarily:p

well said OLDPHART......point everyone on your OcUK friends list to this thread.....even folk with little or no notion about benching and oc'ing(like me) can have a bit of fun here....and, at least for me anyway, it's a great incentive to learn a bit more about oc'ing

GET IT DONE PEOPLE!!! :cool::cool:

edit: oh and to jamesgoss(the only other i5 750 currently on the list) come on fella, you're starting to fall way behind me :p

Well now that you've put my 3.8 to shame I'll just have to give it a go after a hearty breakfast in the morning! :D Can't do this kind of hard work on an empty stomach at this time of night...

Thats what we like to see in this forum > jamesgoss, the good old British Bull Dog Spirit, you can't fight on a empty stomach. A good old greasey spoon washed down with a gallon of tea and you can take the world on or at least TheKwango.

So thats Handbags at 4 paces, bags must not have more than three building bricks in it, handbag straps not more than 2ft reach, no flashy jewellary to reflect the sun into your enemys eyes and yous fight till you drop > Game On. :D

Ok I'm not sure what rules were agreed upon so I've come prepared with handbag and purse! And I feel my OC powers tingling after my Full English :D

Thought I'd start with 4GHz - I really want to break the 2000point barrier, I reckon I should be able to with 4.1...

OK, I haven't pushed it past 4.0 before, but it's looking quite happy at 4.1, and I've hit 2011 points, sweet! :p

Hitting the driving range so will be back for a run at 4.2 later.

Although i had my GPU clocked at 1000/1200 when i ran the bench, i got the same score with it at stock as well.
The biggest difference, apart form clockspeed. Is to boot to safe mode and do a complete defrag, disable AV and firewall, set Windows to Performance in the Visual effects tab and then reboot to windows and run the bench. Almost forgot, run Uncore as high as your cpu will let you.
