The CustomPC Media Benchmarking Suite

ok last one before dinner, 4.3Ghz not that big a gain this time.
Will try some of that after food kitfit1.

Cracking stuff you guys with the i5750, never know the i5750's could clock so well, this is whats making this thread so good. :D

Plus beh letting his SB rip, nice score bud. ;)

Seeing all these i5 750 scores got me thinking, so i did another run. Interestingly i tried again at 4.53ghz with HT off and only scored 80 points under my best score. I may try to see if the higher clockspeed i could reach with ht off would surpass my score with HT on.

Have you tried running your memory at a speed well below what you know it can handle and then bumping the BCLK up?
Just to rule out the memory when upping the clocks.

Things like that make me want a sandy :)

Anyway 4.4Ghz 2200 Points.

NeoRed, that is a tasty overclock! Is that stable? Personally 5 runs on IBT is sufficient for my stability purposes. And your vCore is ridiculously low!! At 4.1 my 750 won't pass IBT even on 1.3975v and 1.35 VTT  It will, however, run the benchmark, which is all that counts ;) I'll see whether I can boot in at 4.2 in a few minutes...

Does the gpu speed make any difference in this bench at all? Just that anytime ive ran it ive had my 470's at stock.

Thats a thought bud, l'll set my 470 back to stock, them OC'd with the CPU at 4.2 and see if theres any difference bud.

When are you getting your Lian done, you'll have to put some pics up before and after.

Right setter, have alook at this with my CPU > 4.2GHz, ran Custom PC three times -

1- GTX 470 stock > 950mv > 607/1215/1674MHz > score = 2280.

2- GTX 470 OC > 100mv > 800/1600/1774MHz > score = 2266.

3- GTX 470 OC > 1.25mv > 850/1700/2000MHz > score = 2241.

So l'm going to re-run Custom PC with GPU at stock with my CPU OC'd at 4.3 / 4.4 / 4.5 and see if my scores improve.

Oldfhart m8, i told you before, buy a second 470 gtx mate. sli on i7 is fantastic m8. my main game is battlefield bad companty2, with 470 sli, 70fps minimum, max details, add me in your friends list mate, [ocuk]setter, id love to shoot you in game mate.

Regarding my case mate, it will be a day or two, gotta transfer the entire rig into my old akasa eclipse 62 case. It will struggle with sli 470's, they generate a lot of heat. The a70f is perfect for an sli setup, good airflow.

Have added you bud, and you will most lightly fill me full of lead, love a game of BC2 myself. :p

Will get round to adding a 2nd 470, but funds are a bit tight atm, maybe l'll get one from the MM. ;)

Your welcome buddy, bfbc2 is a great game mate. As for a second 470 mate, definitely go for it. Youve got a corsair hx 850w psu, (same as me), runs sli 470's with ease, bfbc2 on max details at 1920x1200, and you have a better clocked cpu.

Regarding getting the case done mate, it will be a few days, gotta get the money gathered up, i wanted to get it anodized, but apparently that cant be done. So powdercoating is the only option. Gonna get the insides done in blue, then add some nice blue/black fans. If i had the money, it would be watercooled.

yes jamesgoss its better than I thought it was.

4Ghz (200 x 20 / 1.216 Vcore) is my 24/7 clock as I like the temps and Vcore I need to get that, I stopped there when I 1st got my chip and this is the 1st time I have gone higher.

Best I can run the bench at (2251 points :p:D )

I can get it in to windows at 4.6Ghz (219x21) but it fails half way through the 2nd part of the video encoding and nothing i can do seems to fix it.

Dont mind at all, its a water loop.
