get them sli 470's oc'd and you'll be flying. my wee 5770 @ stock scored 2020 @ 4.3, 2068 was with it oc'd @ 940/1340 thru msi afterburner.

might try for a bit more once i've let everything cool down. my cpu really really did not want to post @ 4.3!! :p
 
Yep, i tried it once with the cards at 800/1600/1674, no joy though, that was with the max volts in afterburner, have them at 750/1500/1674 at the mo, though the cpu is back at 4.0ghz, couldnt get it stable properly at 4.2, but havent given up on that yet mate.
 
i didn't even attempt to test stability @ 4.3.

benched, saved the screen shot and got the hell out and back down to 3.4!

good job that a stable oc isn't part of the criteria of this thread lol

edit: what i did notice is that kitfits tip for disabling av and doing a defrag helped a bit too
 
Right got it to run at 3.8 so its small steps from here to 4Ghz

With the cards at 750/1500/1674, cpu at 4.0ghz, scored 1995, seems it is more cpu dependent, as i only ever saw an increase going from 4.0-4.2.
 
I've tried oc'ing the gpu and it made no diff at all.
One thing I have noticed is that the 2nd run always seems to give more points than the 1st run.

I had that problem once on the image editing part, noticed it freeze for a second or so a few times and got a lower score.
A lil bit more vcore sorted it.
 
Second run does indeed give a better score,

Thats with the cpu at 4.0ghz, best i managed previously at 4.2 was 2060 iirc, single run.

am i the only 1 seeing a bit of an improvement with an oc'd gpu?

i do agree with the second run thing tho. any1 any ideas why a second run improves scores?
 
Lol, you tempted me mate. Id hazard that the first run is a bit lower due to caching into memory, regarding the gpu's, afterburner on my g15 lcd display showed no noticeable rise in gpu or gpu memory usage.
 
just looked at some of my earlier attempts and the higher scores were always on the second run of the oc-must have been mistaking that for the oc on the gpu giving me the extra points :(
 
Nice one, ill have to run it again at 4.2, should be able to eek a bit more out of her. Bit of a volt hungry chip this, itll run the bench ok but ibt/LinX etc are another matter.

EDIT:Gotta try and see if i can catch Combat Fighter, the only 920 owner on my radar.:)

Thanks, I might give it another double run later tonight, will give me a chance to get the room as cool as possible :cool:
