haha just picked me up a nice HP S2331A so gonna be busy gaming at 1080P finally :D

think the next step is 1.65v or 1.685 hopefully should be stable enough for a quick jaunt at 4.6ghz or so, see if i cant topple that 1100T ahead of me :p
 
Shame the only amd i own is an ancient s939 a64 4000, if i started the bench now, it might be done by the morning lol.

lol do it setter :) seem to remember a couple of other people had this done on some netbooks further back in the thread haha

would make the race better to see Cat the fifth, Muel, frozennova and bigwayne in here lol

really trying to think how to improve scores, SSD? 8Gb ram? LN2 and a 6ghz dash? haha

yeah, i'd be guessing 2x4Gb would be better for the OC and the image editing, that last panoramic one in gimp really takes it's time on my machine lol
 
you'll be lucky Kwango lol tried upping volts to the NB? or whatever it's called on your board, seriously doubt i'll see 2k points unless a nice hexcore turns up in the post :p

I'm thinking along the same lines lol. But we already kow that a sraight GHZ dash is not the way to go to make an ENORMOUS difference.

I think that it's subtle differences in ram speed and uncore that make the BIG difference.

Either way, in a few weeks i'm at an LN2 weekend meet, so i'll do a 6ghz+ run and see.
 
Been trying like a bear for the last 2 nights to beat my previous score but no use.. bench reboots windows or aborts and i have had 1 blue screen...:mad:
as i speak i have the windows open with an air temp nice cold temp of 7.3c entering at the room and my cpu at 1.46v @4.8 on a EO E8400 which i am not enjoying..:eek: :mad::mad::mad: just blue screened again!!!! lol :D
 
right, got the 4.3 oc at least bench stable with 4x2gb ram :D

this damn thread has given me the upgrade itch.....i'm too damn competitive for my own good...plus i'm a tart for bench scores!!

don't you be trying to tempt me.....supposed to be saving for a wedding, she'd have a fit!!!

that said going on current prices for my i5, mobo and ram i'd probably get the best part of 200 notes back for it, so another 100 or there abouts would get me a sandy cpu and mobo, already got sandy compatible ram sitting spare

god dammit Bos, see what you've done....ya got me thinking about it again:mad::mad:

pushes the credit card away reluctantly
