The CustomPC Media Benchmarking Suite

yea looking back at the table and the rest of the thread, i'd have thought there'd have been a couple of folk could have pushed a bit more outta their rigs, esp the 2600k dudes.....

wonder would they lend me their setups for a weekend :p

Haha
Theres a couple of low clocked 2600k's on there that are in need of a few cobwebs blowing off em :)

haha, you're anonymous user 535 aint ya! you just had a look at the league table didn't ya?? seen some1 comin in to view. lol

aye there's quite a few of those 2600k's need a damn good speed bump, jeez there's even one sitting at #20 with only a 4190 clcok on it! disgraceful lol

Aye it was probably me ;)

What OS you benching this on ...Win7?

Aint you got an old WinXP disc laying around somewhere?
I stuck it on my second HDD for some benching, worth a fair few points over Win7 :p

really?? i got a hooky one in work somewhere i think. wonder why xp adds points?? shame you aint got a gigabyte board, i'd say with your chip you'd be in with a shout on the competition OcUK are running at the minute

Its a simpler OS that uses less resources.
A lot of the top overclockers use it for their SuperPi runs etc.

didn't know that, always thought that win7 was less resource hungry. i'm pretty new to the whole overclocking and benching scene so i'm still a bit green. but xp will very shortly be going onto my 2nd drive, cheers for the heads up ;)

right, got the 4.3 oc at least bench stable with 4x2gb ram :D

so here we are,

how you like them chips :p

i should get extra points for the number of attempts i've made at this bench!! lol

sorry jamesgoss i've just passed you, still can't get near NeoRed yet....damn him and his golden chip!!

so setter, mate, i've set my sights on you instead!!!!:p:p lol

I'm afraid I can't stand for that Thekwango! I thought I'd pushed my chip as far as it would go...but I will prevail!

PS what voltage settings are you using...? :o :D

lol do it setter :) seem to remember a couple of other people had this done on some netbooks further back in the thread haha

would make the race better to see Cat the fifth, Muel, frozennova and bigwayne in here lol

*edit*

really trying to think how to improve scores, SSD? 8Gb ram? LN2 and a 6ghz dash? haha
Very true, Big wane is a very knowledgable guy, and a very nice fella as well, he got to know about clocking s775 dual core cpu's, particularly e8400's/8500's. Shame he doesnt post here any more.

He's posts were awesome and written in a way that that was informative and funny.

Slight improvement on my score.

Tried 54*100 @ 1.6vc. Also 53*102. Also tried lowering my timings however I CBA removing the second stick of ram which I think is holding me back at this stage.

Removed one stick of ram and I was able to go lower on the timings. However because I was only using a single channel I actually got a lower score. I did find however that I could run at 8-11-8-27 dual channel at 53*100 but this resulting in the same score as above.

Bos, I think your right, memory plays a massive role in this test but it's the clock that most important, not the timings.

Think I really need something like this. Or maybe these bad boys.
