nice work Noob, i'm not sure what else to try, think at some point might up the voltages on the ram to 1.6v or 1.65 see if that will get it running CL7 past 4.2Ghz :)
 
Sadly I am on nights this week so not going to have much chance to have a fiddle, if I get away early'ish I will try and have a few more goes, I think the RAM is my problem TBH, I have done a 1647 but still think this chip has a lot to give if I can get round the RAM issue.

Ok after seeing some of you guy push real hard I thought I would do a "do or die" run at 4.6 with way more volts than I would have liked.
Anyway after it ran I seen the score and went :D:D:D

Thanks, was crapping myself most of the way through that but at the end I decided if it gose pop I'll have no choice but to get a sandy :p
 
Ran it again, this time with my ram at it's rated timings of 7-7-7-24, scored 2156, 30 points down on my previous run with the ram at 8-8-8-27.

Seems my virus scanner was still running, gave it another couple of loops.

Cheers mate. May still try 4.3ghz, though its nice to get my ram running at its proper timings as well. Hopefully get a cold day and ramp her up a bit.:D
 
I didn't disable anything like virus software when I ran it, might have to give it another go with all unnecessary programs disabled. Also contemplating a run on xp with a spare drive I have, just need some time!
 
Definitely try disabling things, i turned off my virus scanner, msi afterburner, logitech g15 utilities, live messenger etc, basically anything surplus to requirements. Running two loops also helps, i actually hit 2247 points, but printed the wrong screen lol, but whats 1 point. xp sounds interesting as well, though im not sure if i still have a copy, if i have ill stick it on a spare f3 1tb hdd that ive been meaning to use.
 
yea, must have a look thru msconfig and see what i can disable on start up, but av will be the first to go! thought i had a copy of xp laying about in work but it seems to have vanished!

hope you don't come to regret that point come the end of season battle for european places......oh wait, different game altogether!! lol
 
Lol, thankfully mate i support man utd, but hopefully ill be able to hit a higher score with the clockspeed increased a bit.
 
sweet, manc red here too mate. monday 30th and 31st booked off work....hoping for a nice long weekends celebration!!

thinking i'm about high a score as i'm gonna get, give or take a few points, but gonna give it one more squeeze and see how i go
