Sorry to here the setter, my 920 has been running at 4.2GHz for about 15months like yours JeffyB on low volts, and to be honest its stable at 4.3GHz. But for 24/7 l like 4.2GHz, don't mind having fun like this and stretch my 920 electrons.

Ive only ever owned nvidia cards mate, not that i frown on ati cards or anything like that. Ive always bought mid range cards, at 35 years old im fairly new to pc's tbh. My first rig was an s939 a64 4000, (still have it), had sli 6800gt's on it, then 7900gt's. upgraded to c2d, e6600 @3.7ghz on air, (first chip i ever clocked). 8800gts 640 sli, 8800gts 512 sli, evga 680i board, (poor quad clocker). Bought a p5q deluxe, easy 3.8ghz on a q6600, same from a q9550. The only high end gpu i ever bought was a gtx 280, it died after a year, got a 275 as a replacement, then added a second. Sold those and bought a 470, added a second two weeks later as i missed sli.The 470 is a cracking card, l think if l remember rightly my 1st Nvidia card in about 10yrs l think, even by its self 920 at 4.0GHz does very well for its self.
I'll have ago tomorrow, l'm not bothered who comes out top in the end its been a goodnight, been having a couple of cans have really enjoyed myself to night, l hope everyone has.

The fact that your using black and blue together jeffy has alerted me mate, (my favourite colour combo). My corsair hx 850 is black with blue connectors, my gpu's have blue pcb's, black shrouds, asus xonar dx audio card is black, case fans are black. The only thing that spoils the inside are the garish yellow akasa vipers on my cpu cooler.

Its my first ever build where l spent a bit money, as l,m retired and it has to last a couple of years yet with only a change of GPU, unless l go sli. When l finish it of next week l'll put some better pic's up, By the way l called my build Project Tight wad when l put my custom loop in, as l only had 250 to build the loop lol.

FT01 is a beautiful case mate, though i still prefer my lian li a70, big beast of a case, (or as i call it, the cavern) Id highly reccomend sli with 470's mate, absolutely fantastic. Bit power hungry yes. (530w in game, bfbc2). Apparently they can run hot/loud on stock air cooling. Which ive had no probs with, i have very good case cooling/airflow, and an antec spotcool behind the top card. Load temps hit 70-69c in game, rise of 4c now that its a bit warmer.

Antec spotcool behind the top card, is it still held up by that boot lace, thats got to be mod of the year setter. lol

Is the p6td much different from the p6t deluxe v2 jeffy, i know that the only differences between the v1/v2's was the removal of sas ports and turbo throttling on the v2 board.

This is my 4th Gigabyte broad and l have never had any problems with them, yes l like the blue thats one of the reasons l choice blue tubing.

Nope mate, i needed that lace for work one morning lol.
The spotcool is mounted direct to the mobo tray with a thumb screw, not the best fit tbh though. But it works, and it was cheap, im a tight git lol.

Still on the bios that my board shipped with, ver 0504. Almost 2 years ago, if it aint broke, dont fix it, thats my thinking.

LoL, have you seen the time its 3.00 in the morning pointless going to bed now, l'll just have a cat nap later in the afternoon. its a warn night 22'c in my PC room even at 4.3GHz idle is 32 > 36'c across the cores.

40-35-40-36 on me cpu, ****ed on guinness and black bush whisky, got cigars and ciggarettes, pink floyd playing on win amp, all a guy needs for a friday night in, (well, after drinking brandy in the pub all night).

IMHO, l just like my real ale but saying that l do like apint of black gold > guinness m8, my son loves the stuff he always has a few cans in the fridge. Just drinking john smiths real ale goes down well on a hot day or night.

John smiths is nice as well, a favourite drink of my dads when he lived in england. Btw mate, what psu are you running your rig on, and what amount of power does it draw if you dont mind me asking?
