The Day of the Jackal

Quite a good but surprising season finale.

I cant believe she went all that way to die so easily. Still shocked it happened. I guess you cant have a second season without the Jackal. Bianca's boss was a really POS. The actor played it well cause i absolutely despised her character. Can see a reflection of people like that in rl.

I am surprised Osita helped hide the fact, didnt help and deleted the evidence. Playing the game. POS as well.

I think he just deleted the text so that if his phone was checked he wouldn’t get spoofed while he investigates, gathers evidence to bring her / them down in season 2. Imagine the text in isolation isn’t enough.

Now it's finished enjoyed it for the most part, wish they would have saved the news about being renewed until after the finale so they would have been more tension if he'd make it or not.

Glad the Bianca character won't be in s2 especially after how she did the whole 'you don't get to tell me that' to her boss.

Looking forward to s2.

finished of the season 1 was not bad but some of the plot holes nearly made me turn off especially in the last episode which was comedy gold.

Thought the late car crash thing was strange. Actually thought it was going to end on that (car crash/fade to black/Sopranos style), but it was just shrugged off after with "how did you survive that?"

I don't think continuity or quality production is high on their agenda. With action scenes turning from day to night and boats passing by on secretive assassination missions

They did mention a 2 mile exclusion zone from the island, which he was just outside of, so it's plausible another boat might have passed by.

How the people on that boat wouldn't have noticed a man with a massive sniper rifle, I don't know.

what makes it worse is...a high tec professional security team of a multi billionaire and they dont have a chopper for pursuit. yeah right ! :p

I find it quite amusing that MI6 staff are using mobile phones in their offices, where they look at Top Secret stuff. Writers clearly didn't do their research :D

I'm glad they killed off Bianca. Awful character.

Signed up to Now TV to watch this and it appears to be censored. Some scenes are cut, usually at the very end of an episode, but then bizarrely they're shown in the recap at the beginning of the following episode. Really enjoying this though.

If you've spent any time on the water, especially in calm weather when you really don't want waves cos they mess with the setting of the sails, you'll know it's a guarantee that some ****** with a powerboat will come blasting past you creating tsunamis at critical times...

Really didn't like the Bianca character at all. Insubordinate, arrogant, unrealistic - and I cannot believe she actually managed to scale that wall during one of the later episodes.

I've watched this, it was good, but I still stand about what I said previously about the main cast... The last scene with Bianca in S2 was so satisfying! :D

It's a TV program mate not a documentary on how to kill people
so it goes to great indepth in some parts then some parts are made by the chuckle brothers. whatever works for you. you do understand the concept of hes a assassin ? basically the best of the best ? yet some stuff even a junior school kid wouldnt do. thats the whole point. needing to explain that. is quite frankly dumb.

That put the image in my head of the chuckle brothers - one as the sniper, one as the spotter...Looking down the sight, taking a breath and saying "to me?" - a brief pause as he places his finger on the trigger and utters a soft "to you"

Yeah he's an assassin but he's also human and we make mistakes and would be kinda boring if he never made a mistake.
