The Day of the Jackal

Not seen a gun like that in a TV show before, really starting to get fed up with the I'm going to go against orders because I've got a personal vendetta agent, hopefully next week he finally deals with her.

I still like it, but the main plot is paper thin. Why would killing him mean River doesn't get released ? Wouldn't he have an agreement with his lover, or someone else close to release it anyway, even if he is assassinated?

Also, the faux drama between Bianca and her department heads is still grating. This isn't the only series/film to fall foul of that. It really irritates me when one investigator is just constantly shot down by her superiors as if the people in charge are never interested in investigating or leads etc.

Mainly watching it for the Jackal bits and bits with his family which are quite good.

Will Damian (Bianca's assistant) get some action in the final episode, or is he going to sit at his desk all season asking why no one will tell him anything.
