The Day of the Jackal

Not seen a gun like that in a TV show before, really starting to get fed up with the I'm going to go against orders because I've got a personal vendetta agent, hopefully next week he finally deals with her.

I still like it, but the main plot is paper thin. Why would killing him mean River doesn't get released ? Wouldn't he have an agreement with his lover, or someone else close to release it anyway, even if he is assassinated?

Also, the faux drama between Bianca and her department heads is still grating. This isn't the only series/film to fall foul of that. It really irritates me when one investigator is just constantly shot down by her superiors as if the people in charge are never interested in investigating or leads etc.

Mainly watching it for the Jackal bits and bits with his family which are quite good.

Quite a good but surprising season finale.

I cant believe she went all that way to die so easily. Still shocked it happened. I guess you cant have a second season without the Jackal. Bianca's boss was a really POS. The actor played it well cause i absolutely despised her character. Can see a reflection of people like that in rl.

I am surprised Osita helped hide the fact, didnt help and deleted the evidence. Playing the game. POS as well.

What messed it up for me was how he went from being a super efficient killing machine to a bumbling idiot who managed to get himself stabbed by an old lady.

The casting didn't help either, Adam James may be a perfectly good actor but after having played Carlton Wood in two episodes of Hustle, I just can't get that character out of my mind whenever I see him.

I really like Lasana Lynch and helped carry the story and was worthy of rivalling the Jackal, probably because from her bond days. I wouldnt mind her playing a 00 agent not as James Bond but as her own character movie. This TV series showed glimpses of that.

I really did think she would follow the trail and pursuit of the Jackal into Season 2 so i hope they have someone worthy of doing that. Bianca imo gave you belief she could do that.

Who crashed into him at the end, was it New York "cleaning house" and why wasn't that shown some more and how he got away from it

Yeah, it was a poor ending for me.

Overall very much enjoyed season 1
Bianca's end was disappointing all that build up just to end like that and what was the point of him getting hit by the car near the end ?
