The disappearance of Nicola Bulley

I imagine Roar and Magnolia in a police buddy movie. They are the one constant in each other's lives, with a foundation of love underlying their irreverent banter. One day the friction between them accidentally leads to the body of Nicola Bulley and all is revealed.

Then they get it on to a 70s disco soundtrack. Tastefully done, mind.

After the job is done, its back to roars house for a 70s porn evening with the others from squad... Except neither invited the others.

That's insane.

"This property that isn't currently occupied has security measures that allow someone to remotely keep an eye on it, we don't know how many people are in there and they may be armed so why don't people turn up and break in".
Unfortunately I can quite see some people trying to take advantage of Ms Bulley being missing to do a bit of B&E with the argument that they were "just looking for her" if the police turn up and interrupt them, and that it's going to distract the police and divert resources away from the search to deal with these utter idiots.

Do we know if the river was cold enough that day to have immediately taken someone's breath away/incapacitate them?

If not, it seems odd that she didn't scream for help. If she did, surely someone would have heard it as it seems like a fairly busy area and a woman's scream would be heard a fair while away. If nothing else, you would have thought the dog would have heard her and jumped in.

If she did fall in the river, it seems like he she was unconscious beforehand or was knocked unconscious as she fell in.

I guess she could have even had a brain anurism/heart attack and just collapsed down the bank and into the river.

It's winter in the uk.

Yes is the answer. Anything under 15 degrees can cause cold water shock.

Who is? This is a thread about a woman who has gone missing, presumably murdered, and he's cracking literally the worst joke I've ever seen typed out. Most of his forum posts consist of him arrogantly and derisively critiquing other people's posts on any given subject while adding nothing to the thread himself.
I think the respectful angle of this thread was destroyed by the end of the first page with the ridiculous theories that people repeatedly stated as if they were unquestionable fact.

I further reckon that him not being respectful enough of the thread isn't your genuine problem.

This is starting to get a bit weird. Why is so much being spent on this one case? Please, better theories than "because she was good-looking" because a] I don't believe that theory holds water [pun unintentional] and b] she wasn't.

Well, people are far more likely to care when a pretty woman goes missing, and that care extends to media coverage (people clicking on stories, watching coverage, etc) - this in turn leads to the Police being under pressure to deliver a result because of the added scrutiny and pressure they're under. That is literally what happens.

So the police think shes floated down the entire River Wyre and are now searching the coastline of Morecombe Bay, near Fleetwood.

Can someone ask the rozzers what baffled and incompetence mean.
