The Division 2 - March 2019

oh, at this point, don't know. I mentioned the offer to them but didn't specifically ask them.

ps, main reason i went with cd keys was for the main D2 game - didn't even find out about the offer until later. If it works out, great but if not, not that big a deal for me. Suspect each of those games is/will be available for a few pounds anyway.

also, thanks for the list ;) Wasn't aware of 'approved retailers'. Bought from kinguin before without issue.

Oh yeah, the keys work fine, I've bought some before, no issue there, the key will definitely work, I think its just that you dont get the free game.

we'll see, but i have a feeling you may be right. Still, if so, at least i'll know for the future. Edit: sorry, offer makes no mention of having to buy from an approved retailer (on those 2 pics), but it's there in the terms: https://legal.ubi.com/TheDivision2PreorderGiveaway/en-INTL, so yeah, looks like no free game.

ps, how do i delete pics? they're not showing up as bb code :p

Like i said, didn't know about the offer until after i'd bought, so won't be a huge issue for me. Also, doubt i'd have the time for a second game at the moment. LOL, ubisoft gave out Assassin's Creed Black Flag for free a while back, something i do want to play, and it's just been sitting there in my games list without even being installed yet.

Played for a few hours, I must say that I'm not a huge fan of the setting and the new movement. DZ is ruined too. I'll probably skip this but it's a shame because I really enjoyed TD1.

Well @TonyTurbo78 a strange thing happened, I plugged the V56 back in and everything is fine!! Freesync working as God intended, also WOW! The Vega is running it at 3440 Ultrawide at High settings perfectly fine, with a 70-100fps range with the odd dip into the 60s (clocked to 1650/1655). Very very impressed with that, the extra CU's on the 64 would make it perfect tbh but I could easily live with this (and I've been hammering it with a 2080Ti over the weekend too).

Awesome little card

When I first logged into the open beta it was a colossal thunderstorm with full on rain, etc. but somehow the whole thing felt fake not sure why.

EDIT: Bit of a link and run as it is still processing at the moment but I've got to get to work:

That is the first video I have seen for this game, mainly as I want to try to keep it spoiler free. The weather worried me a tad as no one is really talking about it. The snow storms although not often really gave atmosphere to TD1 for me.

Your video shows the movement is much smoother, the rain to me looked pretty good as well. Hoping they add some fog.

Thank you for taking the time to share that video.

Great stuff mate. Vega cards, both 56 and 64 are excellent cards for 1440p, they get a lot of unjustified stick. My 64 is incredible, love it.

The engine while same, quite a bit upgraded.
I specifically kept my old PC (3570,GTX1070,16gb) who run TD1 perfectly to see how much "damage" 2 will do,and at least in Alpha,Closed Beta old PC struggled in parts.I played with options obviously, and shadows and volumetric fog are your "enemies",turned them down and all ok,not much lost visually.
TD2 graphics improved quite a bit, more complex,so some extra gpu is understandable.

Well, I solved the crashing issue. It was the uplay overlay

But also, the game is pinning my 3570 non k at 100% and tanking framerates. Need to upgrade I guess, was going to happen sooner or later lol

Surprised it is hitting the 3570 that hard albeit it only being 4 core - it is hardly touching my 4820K though I am heavily GPU bottlenecked with around 96% average GPU utilisation (similar to TD1).

Looks cool, nice effects, particularly the sounds

Sound isn't quite setup right in that video actually - the positional/surround effect is a bit better normally but I forgot to redo my settings before starting the open beta.

Movement seems smooth because the underlying engine is just so responsive - can't really tell from the video but the bit I'm spinning the crosshairs around the latency is just so low even at 60 fps - a lot of games need more like 100 fps for the same responsive feel. The movement itself feels worse (atleast for me) than the video conveys.
