The Division 2 - March 2019

Just installed it myself, and I can't help but be left open-jawed by how gorgeous the game is & how much detail they manage to pack in on a per scene basis! Absolutely tremendous. Was playing through Wildlands last night and I was remarking the same thing. Ubisoft are truly the masters of today as far as graphical fidelity is concerned, especially in an open-world setting but regardless.

TD 2 runs quite well too, very happy with it. The only thing I haven't managed to find though is an AA option, does anyone know what's up with that?

For very different reasons I struggle to justify the price of TD2 - although there is some very good stuff in it and seems to be a lot of content including planned I can't get over the fact that there are a lot of TD1 legacy issues after they used them as justification for moving developer focus from TD1 at best I could only justify paying expansion pack kind of price and even then the movement as it completely kills the game for me which is sad because I jumped onto TD1 originally after getting sick and tired of trying new games and finding the movement and basic mechanics so naff.
Yeah I think it it was £30 + extra for the later content I'd risk it and see how it went then buy the expansion(s). At £50 I doubt I'll buy.

dont think i would buy any game at £50, it can be had for £35-36 on cdkeys or £39.99 on uplay as tombstone said above

True, I picked Watch Dogs 2 as I already had Ghost Recon Wildlands and I wasnt interested in Farcry Primal.

I was going to get the deal but didn't because I wanted a game to play in the time leading upto D2, but you dont get it until the D2 release date! :(

The game graphics wise is very outdated. or is it just me?

Dunno,4k max looks good to me.

I love how devs made NPC's semi alive - was following some group who went to get res,and they actually did that-they fight Hyenas, collected res,and returned them to they base.
Another thing,i was sneaking around enemy, one of them got me and said something "watch out,we getting flanked".
AI in this game is really not bad.
All they need to do is nerf nade/drone spamming, fix weapon mods negatives

I kinda agree. It either looks really ropey or very good depending on the time of day I found. It's not a patch on Div1 with all the snow, volumetrics and particles. I will say this though, I definitely think internal areas look better in Div2 than the 1st.

This game will give you hundreds of hours of content at the least. You know it will, just like you know you'll be buying it :p

Unless they change the movement, which seems unlikely at this point, I definitely won't be buying it. Both the technical test and open beta I hardly played as I wasn't making it more than around 2 minutes at a time before I alt+F4'd out of frustration with it and given up playing the open beta at this point.

Outdoors I notice a lot of lower res textures and overall geometry detail seems a step back from TD1, during extreme weather there seemed to be a bit of a disconnect between the different effects i.e. dampening surfaces were noticeably unrelated to falling rain while in TD1 the snow storms were atleast somewhat convincing in how they changed the environment. As mentioned above indoors generally seemed a bit better.

Those who pre-ordered on GMG, have you managed to get it to redeem on Uplay, or do you have to wait until release? Customer service won't give me a straight answer -.-

Edit: Ignore, fixed it.

You can get the game off cd keys for £34 which I think is the route I'll go

that's what i did. Just so you know, they'll send you the code the day before the official release date (since it's a preorder): https://support.cdkeys.com/hc/en-gb...-pre-order-game-When-will-I-receive-the-code-

had to contact them about this because i wanted to redeem the free game: https://thedivision2-freegameoffer.ubi.com/#/en-US (ubisoft offer for preorders valid for another month so should be ok) and it's not made clear in the product info or in your receipt that the code doesn't get sent until shortly before release. It's hidden away in the support section.

Are you sure that you get the free game if you buy it from cdkeys? I've read a few who have ordered from cdkeys and kinguin and upon inquiring were told that they arent eligible because they didnt buy from an "approved retailer" off of the listed approved sources.

Approved sources:
