Snowdrop 2016

I think there's the proof PC been downgraded just as much as consoles. They've put out a trailer with the best visuals, the best visuals would obviously be the PC version, what is shown here graphically is not a patch on what we saw a few years ago. Delayed it, went back to the drawing board and in that whole time took a giant **** on the game.

Erm, did you read the article?

Nevertheless, Guillemot said that reactions to the Watch Dogs demo had re-shaped the company’s approach to showing off pre-release games. “With E3 2015 we said, OK, let’s make sure the games are playable, that they’re running on the target machines. When we show something, we ask the team, make sure it’s playable, make sure gamers can immediately see exactly what it is. That’s what we learned from the Watch Dogs experience – if it can’t be played on the target machine, it can be a risk.”

Given that no-one has seen any PC footage to compare to the E3 2015 footage, I don't see how anyone is in a position to discredit that statement?

Nah, I skim read it tbh.

Still... it doesn't change the fact that the final PC version is not going to look anywhere as good as the e3 2013 footage, so once again, false advertising and lies by ubisoft.

If they really want to make up for it, then they should give away a free game with the purchase of the division (customer choice of any ubi game), only fair considering that they knowingly falsely advertised thus mislead people into buying a lie.

The 2015 footage is available. There is a beta you can try before release. If you don't think it's worth your money then don't buy it or cancel your pre-order. No is forcing you to buy anything you don't want to.

Don't know how you guys already got beta keys!! I signed up for beta when it was first announced at E3 2013. Been checking my spam folders but no luck :(

If you signed up for the Nvidia Geforce Experience, you were guaranteed access to the Beta.

you want them to give you two games for the price of one because the game you haven't seen in its finished state may not match a video of the game that was in production....

you know how crazy that sounds?

If they knew that they couldn't give us that game then why bother showing it in the first place?

The fact that they could show us that sort of gameplay on a 2013 PC shows that PC's are capable of playing the game we saw in 2013, whether it be at 30 FPS or 60 FPS or whatever, at least give PC users the choice....

And nope, it isn't crazy at all considering ubi even admitted that they should have gone about doing things differently with watch dogs etc.

Does that mean the e3 2015 footage will undo the lies shown in the e3 2013 footage?

Will the beta undo the lies shown in the e3 2013 footage?

Nope.

If the game is good, I got no problem with buying it, what I don't like is false advertisement/lying.

State and federal laws are in place to protect consumers from false or misleading advertising. These laws make deceptive claims illegal. No business may make false, misleading, or deceptive claims about a product regarding its: Price.

I know you work for ubi so have allegiances and all that but surely you can understand why people are ****ed with ubi again....

I'm sure the game will look good once out on PC with all the settings turned up but that still won't change the fact that ubi lied with the initial footage/details and the thing that I don't get is why exactly can't they give PC users the e3 2013 game? Surely we should have the PC power considering it is 3+ years later and we have considerably more powerful GPU's etc. than in 2013?

EDIT:

not to mention that the modders over on guru3d did a damn good job with watch dogs, not only did they re-enable all the missing effects, fix the colours etc. but they also got it to run a **** load better :o

I guess some people just love to bend over for companies ===3

EDIT:

Jackfrags has said it looks better than the consoles (no surprise) but that it isn't as good as the 2013 footage, less detail etc.

You aren't entitled to free games just because a developer had to make compromises on their graphics/performance target as time went on.

You can see what the game looks like now, they aren't trying to deceive anybody.
