I'm interested in the game that's why, I think the game will be great, that's got nothing to do with me slating another game that's getting a visual downgrade. I don't understand the need to do it, why falsely show something that's not what you get. I could do a very good car analogy here, but I think you understand exactly what I'm saying. You just like these little tit for tats I'm sure of it.

I'm sure an official channel has said no NDA on beta :) I'll be banging a stream up too
 
Typically, I'm in Germany till 31st - so I'll be missing the beta D: Gonna have to rely on other people as to whether this ends up with my money or not =(

Very good point, could it be they dont want the pc master race to see the graphics downgrade and cancel their pre-orders. Weve already watched the console gameplay and the peasants seem happy with what theyve seen. (Im a console owning peasant too btw) Maybe they dont want to drop the bombshell just yet.

They don't want the PC to cannibalise console sales so they keep quiet about it for as long as possible in the hope people will have already pre-ordered the console version and will just stick with it.

It has been stated for a long time, that The Division will be optimized for each platform separately and that it won´t be just a console-port for PC players. Of course that has been met with skepticism, but now we finally have a more detailed answer, how they will support and optimize the experience for PC players:

With the SnowDrop engine, we are able to get the max out of every platform
PC has a lot of configuration options - such as?!?
PC supports 2/3 monitors, so we have to support that - Does not change the image quality but good to know
bigger rendering settings - Texture rendering or screen rendering? Possibly does not change the image quality but good to know
unlock framerates - Yay, higher than 30 or 60. Does not change the image quality but good to know
support multiple GPUs - Does not change the image quality but good to know
Matter of pride to be able to give people the opportunity to get the best out of their hardware they invested in. - Who writes this ****?

I know a screenshot/vid of the PC graphics options has been leaked and Id love to know how it compares to a console. What I mean is, if you max out the pc options would it look identical to the consoles, only difference being the screen res. 1080+ for PC, sub 1080 on console? If this is the case then the game does look pretty poor as the console footage is not exactly mind blowing.

Also, those 4K screenies released are no way from the current game/build. Everything about the image looks like the old E3 stuff. Pre rendered cut scene maybe but not pc gameplay thats for damn sure.

I understand the skepticism, but some people are gonna be eating their words when the NDA lifts and people get their hands on the PC version a decent GPU (more)

So why the massive lack of PC info from Ubi then? Why we been kept in the dark for so long? What they trying to hide? All this naturally sparks skepticism and doubt. The fact it is Ubisoft and their track record just makes it worse too.

I certainly don't like these little tit for tats but like I said earlier, if it is downgraded, I will be very disappointed but so far we have only got consoles footage to look at and I see you and others basing the game on that footage and claiming UBI are liars lol. I don't care either way personally and enjoy gaming and if it is pap for GFX, I won't buy it and it is that simple but you have a beta key, you have a week to wait and then you can make your mind up the same as me and others but to write it off after watching some console footage is laughable.

Just wait is all I am saying before getting yourself worked up and then if it is pap graphically, let rip and I will join you.

NO ONE is denying that the game is going to look good and be better looking than the consoles, I think it is going to be great looking, maybe even as good as star wars battlefront, whether it will run as good is another question.....

What people are getting worked up about and wanting to know.... WILL IT LOOK THE SAME AS THE E3 2013 FOOTAGE? Nothing more, nothing less.

All we need is a simple yes or no but instead we are getting, as neoglow said, politician answers.

The only one who has answered this question so far is jackfrags and his answer was a no.... yet some in here are making it out like the PC version will be the exact same as what we saw in 2013....
