*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

Did a bit of the tutorial last night! Seems to run really qell so thats good and looks miles better than when i played on xb1 at launch!

I imagine my first goal is to just play the story to hit level cap? Am i missing out on much with out dlc until the end game?

The story mode is good fun and when you hit 30, the game proper opens up. If you want a boost or a hand doing missions, add me (Gregster1970) and give me a nudge :)

DLC is worth it as well. the Underground and Incursions can be great fun, as well as Survivor.

That's interesting Gamble. I thought you had to get the antivirals and had no choice in doing so before you extract. It doesn't explain that to well.

The DLC so far tbh hasn't been worth it for a lot of people although I thoroughly enjoyed underground and the PVE supply drops twice a month.

Survival is definitely looking like the best addon for this game so far and now that there is balance in end game - progressing difficulty is now more achievable solo and as a group.

I have around 1500 hours in this game, and have grinded my way through every patch, every bit of content, unbalanced 1.3 and will definitely be continuing to grind and play through survival and 1.5.

1500 hours?!

Definitely no need to get the antivirals first. It just guarantees you a div tech mainly to craft a flare but there's plenty of div tech around. As long as you can craft a flare to extract that's pretty much the bare minimum you need unless you extract with someone else.

Was going to grab mine earlier but this time it was on top of the DZ6 extraction. Popped up and it was full of elites, at least 10. I was on my own with purple weapons so thought hell no and ran off :D

Ran to someone's extraction, helped him kill the hunter and left. Got 11 caches from that, sold most of it and made close to 3mil :)

1500 hours?!

Same here, I play this far too much :D

The DLC is good pre level 30 for sure, but the story mode is also fantastic.

If i was doing it, i would play the story to level 30, then start doing UG and Survival after that as alternative ways to get loot and work up the world tiers :)

I might do that one day to be honest - start again on another character and do that, would be fun.

Yeah, roughly lol!! :D

Thanks! Do world tiers not come in to play until level cap then?

Nah they were introduced to create a way to progressively scale the difficulty once you hit level 30.

Difficulty in 1-30 gameplay is very well balanced already :)

Thanks ok sounds good! Currently aying through tv with a controller as it feels right that way, do you guys use pads or kb/m? I imagine as its a lot of pve, controller is fine

Got to level 7 last night in just over an hour. What's the time frame est to 30?

I did it in about 24 hours in total. You could keep working through the story or we could power level. In all honesty, the story is worth the time and I really enjoyed it.

EDIT:

Also, just bought the season pass. with 50% off and 20% for using UPlay credits, £11.99 is a bargain I think

Cant qoute for some reason.

I use KB/M but Radeon uses a controller and says its fine. They have adjusted some hitbox and snap perameters in 1.5 to make using a controller a bit harsher but overall its fine still

Good to know, thanks! Not against kb/m but just at the mo im quite enjoying casual play through the tv! Maybe endgame ill get in to kb/m at my desk or in pvp stuff

All i can think about is survival, this is how the game should have been on day 1.

I was sceptical at first, didn't realise there was a DZ and the loot you take goes back into the PVP normal world.

But since playing last night and finding out how wrong I was I'm of the same opinion, this should have been what the base game was all about.

Cheers for answering bud, yeah think I'll just enjoy the ride so to speak. Seems like later on it can get complex with what builds to go for etc. So I'll take my time with the simple stuff like "Go here kill 5 people and mark a box"... :D
