That CS run was really quick, I think we can get that down to 9min dead :D

Certainly the fastest run I've been on :D

I was running 4 piece alpha, specialised backpack and a robust chest. 334 DPS, 484 toughness (559 in cover due to the robust chest) 106k electronics.

Used an AB setup last night with a Famas & AK47, first time I've ever used a full set.

Colour me impressed, yellow 34s were going down nice and quickly, just need some guns without crap rolls and I'll be sorted.
 
Has anyone had any success looting Barretts chest? I've still not got one after 30+ runs. On a positive note though, I can get though Lexington solo in ten mins now. Oh, and I did loot a bright pink skin for my weapons:D
 
Nah have only done 1 run but seems to drop about as much as a nun's knickers.

Will keep plugging away for it, would go nicely with my savage gloves and AB set.

Dude that is insane!!!! I'm going to try your loadout to see how improvements can be made on my build. I have the pack & chest along with a busload of AB parts. Wouldn't mind your input at some point though.

Cant believe we beat the last two patches time lol!!

For this build for me, it is glass skill power support- 290k toughness with 220k skill power and geared towards smart cover damage resilience - 4 piece final measure, robust chest and sturdy holster for 69% armour in cover.

We overlapped ultimates at one point nulling one of them - so I think under 9 minutes is possible on CS now for sure, especially when I can go more glass and replace the kneepads. Purely a support, in cover buid

Momo's method as fuse carrier is unorthodox but very well thought out. The heroic APC can kill a >600k toughness player in 5/6 shots so he intentionally goes down within a support station to proc battle buddy in himself to keep walking. Lots to think about for this method lol

Got a few other speed run ideas lined up as well :)

I didn't play from the beginning but I'm very impressed. My only issue is that I'm struggling to obtain the mods I want to build a stronger character but that'll come in time - even if it is frustrating.

Yup!! There's loads of content to keep you busy. Daily missions in the world, underground, DZ and Survival assignments. That's before you've even started on HVTs.

Getting the gear pieces is one thing, but getting good rolls/recalibrations and then getting the mods to knock it up to those levels is the hard part.

Yeah, I've had a few god rolls which I'm happy with but I simply can't seem to get the stats I'm after. I can roll FA mods daily but resources limit me to 1-2 or maybe 3 a day
 
Where is the best place to get AB sets from? been in the DZ and not had any AB drops yet and spent a good few hours each night in there.

There is no best place anymore really. Some still swear the best rolled stuff is in the DZ but it's supposed to be pure RNG now. The only exceptions are named pieces and incursions weighting certain types like Dragons Nest does backpack/kneepads etc. Really the best thing you can do is just run in a group of people willing to share what they get. I was 4pc AB in one evening because someone gave me a mask and another gave me some gloves to go with a holster and vest I got myself. Since then someone has given me some kneepads. I'd still be well off playing on my own but nice groups = fast builds!
