Have run through several CM content solo and it doesn't feel too much different to me. Maybe its my playstyle I don't know but one of the most important things is taking cover without taking cover.
On another note, been playing last stand for almost 24 hours now and its amazing minus seeker mines.
Rank 21, aiming for 25 tonight to make a list and screenshots of all the vanity. Got a >30k best score also several times.

Can the Survivor mode be played "co-op" so to speak?
I know the idea is to survive (obviously) but can you and a mate play on the same map and help each other out during extraction etc? (I appreciate you will probably start in different areas of the map to start with!)

You can,BUT - solo is much easier as you dont need to split res - extractions doesnt matter,as you get 1 Hunter per player anyway.
I personally have failed only 7 Srv from all i did solo,and failed much more in group,but then again each to they own
As long as you're already teamed up you should start in the same area.
I have been playing Last Stand since....around 8pm yesterday evening till now with a few hours break for DZ and food lol!! I don't think I have ever played a game for more than 24 hours before :O
Main reason was - it is so damn good and addictive! But secondandly I wanted to see what sort of vanity items it drops on the way to rank 40!
I have obtained 7 pieces of vanity on my route from 0 to my current rank of 22 so put them in an Imgur album and will update it as I get more:

So far - I think they look pretty crap aside from the rogue weapon skin - blood splatters I especially like lol!
Plan for tomorrow - 25 definitely as Im almost rank 23, and if Deltas allow - push for rank 30!

I've still got guys running around in circles deflecting bullets. we just had one team destroy us, couldnt touch any of them. at one point 4 of us were trying to put down one player in our spawn and we couldnt do it; he just kept running around. I've no idea what's going on. I can go from a 25k score in one match to 6k in the next. so frustrating.

Completed the story line today and made it to level 28.
Just 2/3 of us did the last mission, third guy left half way through. Wasn't as hard as I expected it to be and felt pretty short to.
Decided to try the Dark Zone out and started a group, a guy joined who never did it before and we just went around killing mobs then calling the hali down to get our loot out.
Had tons of fun but I expected to be shot on sight by other players but every other player I saw was friendly and everyone was working together taking down mobs.
Pretty awesome, first time I ever seen a game like that.
Going to try to some more DZ later and then start working on clearing the side missions out.
If anyone wants to group up for some missions or DZ, am available most of the time. My nick in game is IWarriors I play as an support gunner/medic type of agent.

Yeah don't get too used to friendly dz players. Suspicion of getting shot in the back should always be on your mind.
On a similar note, did a pve survival session and res'd a few people. Got downed myself and proceed to get killed by the first player that came along and stole my stuff.

had a lot of that myself.. or the loot stealing
had one the other day, he went down at extraction and i showed up.. killed both hunters then revived him before collecting the loot.. he got up and took both loots from the hunters..
what i do now is dont even bother reviving randoms unless its at extraction site and i have spare medkits - after collecting my loot ofcourse

Was on DZ6 tonight and since a package drop 200m away, decided at the same time to use the extraction point at the roof top near by.
Fought the 7 elite LMB guarding it, called the chopper, picked my stuff successfully and then three dudes (all 3 white) came up what it seems huffing and puffing. Realised that the chopper was gone and one asked the other "do you believe he is alone?" the other replied "i don't see loot pack, leave him" and the third just one shotted me -_-
And they laughed.
That is annoying showing what sort of players are in the DZ. And imho, decided that I will better off going back to WOT.

DZ is what it is - high risk,unpredictable place without any rules,and while Massives social experiment failed massively (
) some people find DZ best place to be who they cant be in IRL 
You should not be affected by that because loot is everywhere,just put Banshee (you not loosing xp and dz creds with it in 1.5) set and go troll people,dont pick loot or pick some 1 piece of purple,so if they kill you they get nothing and will be trolled

Same as later on, run to the extraction point as some reds were leaving, just 2 seconds before it was off.
Dropped the machine gun turret to the ground, put my stuff on the chopper and by the time they came back, I was already getting away.
However I do need some good stuff. Because they were almost killed me with a single clip before the third bullet of my G36 was out. :/
That is part of the game and you have to accept it. There wouldn't be any players if they had your attitude, as it has happened to us all at some point or another. Sure we get ganked but other times I have taken groups of 4 down on my own knowing that it is potentially coming. Enjoy WoT

this is true and unless you group up while in the DZ your always at risk, only time i go to DZ is to do the daily or farm named bosses but dont even pick up loot unless its something special
worst ones are those that sit at checkpoints though, just to get an easy kill
