*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

this is true and unless you group up while in the DZ your always at risk, only time i go to DZ is to do the daily or farm named bosses but dont even pick up loot unless its something special
worst ones are those that sit at checkpoints though, just to get an easy kill

Yer, had a few of those but now I wait for the chopper line and then go for them. That usually takes care of it and then put my loot on the line and leg it :D

Fml. Why does it not explain that anywhere?

haha - I'm pretty sure its 'V'. Check your key bindings for 'Radial Menu'. They probably didn't mention it due to the fact its the same menu for using consumables in the main game - I believe they're making an assumption that people know where it is...

Which I didn't though. I can't for the life of me recall it being said anywhere. Life just got a lot easier!

Well after more Dark Zone and meeting PVPk'ers and this max level guy who kept killing 3 of us who are still new, it shows how terrible the PVP system is.

None of us could do anything against him, best we did was bring him down to 60% then he just healed if we even did that since some mobs was around.

PVP dancing around cars and things just emptying magazines into each other and healing is just crap.

It would be far better if everyone was equal but had access to good gear but nothing to make people unstoppable.

Before I joined that group, I was doing pretty well solo, I kept to the edge and was making runs back to the extraction point on the edge getting my gear out with not much effort.

That said, I really enjoy the PVE in the DZ, the enemies there are much harder and more fun to fight, made enough money to buy a new magazine from the DZ shop that grants 76%+ more ammo, plugged that on my LSW and now I have a magazine of 50 rounds. God I love that weapon, it does less damage then my Assault Rifle, but it's so stable and puts enemies down so fast.

Not fan of my Assault Rifle, it does more damage but it has such high recoil and is only a Semi-Auto. Hoping to replace it with a better version of the AK that I had before.

DZ rank means nothing in terms of gear quality. Certain vendors used to be tied behind a DZ rank which forced people to level up to get them but it was the same stuff as normal open world etc

For the DZ, don't go in unless you are 100% geared up and almost min maxxed. It is useless otherwise unless you know routes well and leave an escape route wherever you go as well as checking the minimap every 5s. Even as a group it can sometimes be overwhelming, especially if undergeared.

1.5 has some very very strong talents and skills at the moment. For example:

*Critical Save - Use a medkit gives you extra damage resilience % for x number of seconds
*Battle Buddy - revives give damage resilience as well and can work on the revive heal cloud, recovery link and support station
*Evasive Action - cover to cover moves give damage resilience
*Adrenaline - medkits give overheal
*On the move - damage resilience for killing a target whilst moving

If I was solo in the DZ and popped a medkit, I would proc adrenaline and critical save and because I run a tenacious mask I also get 10% extra weapon damage.

So if I then did that and used booster shot and with my 182 sidearm equipped, I would be coming at you with alphabridge, with 8 damage talents (unforgiving, destructive, deadly, vicious, uncomplicated, responsive, competent and adept) - 10% extra weapon damage on top of all of that, as well as close to 800k toughness. If I so happened to kill an NPC whilst coming towards you - that would be almost 1.6 million toughness.

All of the above is using, and in terms of the 182 sidearm, abusing the current game mechanics to get the maximum of everything and I would say 75% - 80% of the current DZ population is doing the exact same thing.

This will change drastically in 1.6 but it wont be for the better at the moment given the current state of the PTS.

Managed to have a proper good last stand session from midnight to 4am today and I am soooooo close to rank 30 now! If I didn't have so many deltas I would be close to rank 40 by now ffs lol

I still stand by my original point. If they reduced the stagger and nerfed the historian last stand would be perfect! I have been having so much fun and even when doing MM solo do quite well. Its amazing what normalisation has done. Have had some absolutely intense moments as well in it with really aggressive game play that just would not work in the normal DZ. Love it, absolutely love it.

Vanity every 3 ranks - updated album here: https://imgur.com/a/MLF9n

I tried to build a Tech/Defense build last night on the PTS. Worked out no where near as good as I'd hoped, because I didn't realise that Hildr and Eir aren't compatible with a ballistic shield (being unable to swap weapons). I had the idea that stacking a load of crit chance would improve the usefulness of them, so went about crafting hundreds of Stam mods for the +crit chance bonus. Utter waste of time really, however it did get me wondering, albeit something rather random -

Has it ever been explained why the developers, in their "wisdom", decided to introduce the obnoxiously slow, spinning wheel when you craft an item, open a cache or do anything which results you obtaining an item? It strikes me as something that would be more suited to a gambling/betting game (such as a virtual fruit machine). In the context of The Division, it seems totally out of place.

/rant.

That crafting/opening circle thing is well annoying in survival too when you are against the clock. Especially crafting stuff, you have to face that wheel of timewaste about 10 times in a row when converting fabrics for example. Don't know why they don't just have a slider thing where if you have enough fabric to make 10 blues from green, it gives you option of converting max 10 on the slider down to one

No way.... how did i not know this. The amount of my life i have wasted doing these one at a time :'-(

im sorry but i had to laugh at this.. the thought of you sat there doing 1 at a time while raging about why there isnt an option to do them all at once when that option is right in front of you haha :p

i did the same thing with aiming down sight.. didnt know you can press shift while doing that to switch the side your gun is.. spent a lot of time switching cover etc to get a shot off when i could have stayed put and hit shift :D

:D Brilliant!

The shoulder swap is something which will be very heavily relied on in 1.6 as it allows you to peak out from behind cover without officially taking the games cover. Very very useful
