Been a few months since i played this now but getting the itch to play again so might give it a go tonight

any noticeable changes since 1.6 was released? or is it nothing until 1.7?

1.6.1 quality update is dropping next tuesday which includes loadouts and bug fixes.

ETF Charlie starts on the same day which is for 1.7 - so aside from loadouts nothing new has been added since but we should be hearing about 1.7 over the next week or 2

is that when we should hear some info about 1.7 or is that when its coming?

The ETF is when the community gets involved in how 1.7 will look, and how the new content will work etc - so no release or release date - but they will finally start talking about what is coming this year. :)

Which we have been waiting for!

They accidentally revealed some stuff on their Y1 anniversary stream, but they revoked it as it wasnt "everything" and they set everyones expectations incorrectly.

Im just having fun, and playing the modes until they start talking about it :)
 
Not live, but i played the PTS and cowards corner is dead, along with some other camping points but they didnt disclose which ones.

Looking forward to getting home, organising loadouts and turning on DX12 :)
 
yeah they made more fixes for it to allow a wider scope of reliability on different systems.

On 1.6 - there were reports of jitters etc that have vanished in 1.6.1 :)

Will be testing it later, I know @JediFragger got major gains
 
I had to turn DX12 off after 1.6 due to the jitter that started. Now they are adding loadouts have they finally tweaked the sets so there's no meta build anymore? Last time I played shield + smg was the way to go.

When was the last time you played? Shield and SMG is trash, but was only OP in 1.6 when people used burst fire weapons and had hgh sens on their mouse to spin around quickly.

There isnt a meta in terms of gearset selection really, but there are two OP sets which result in the players being super squish. Tactician Seeker build and Deadeye SVD. Both of those have been modified in terms of stagger they give, and the seekers have been turned into a cleansable status effect for the initial flame damage.

They are still OP, but they require absolute max firearms or electronics to be properly effective now. Deadeye defo needs work, its a no skill build of spamming shots anywhere on a player for max damage. Seekers are interesting, but can be ignored with immuniser rendering the build useless

The meta seems to be leading towards hybrid builds of FA/Electronics/Health but little to no main stat rolls for stamina as it only gives 15 health per stam point. But at least its over all gearsets - even nomad lol
 
Last time I played properly was back when I ran excursions with you and Mario for a few hours on a Sunday morning in January / February, It might have been before 1.6 dropped that I was playing daily.

Ohhhh OK. Yeah back then shields were stronger due to the health pool being larger as a result of a much much shallower skill power scale + shield modifiers working with D3.

They since changed the skill power scale which means you need to invest more into electronics to generate good shield health, but that means you cant spec into firearms so little damage output. Add on top of that the shield modifers dont work anymore with D3 as it was producing too much damage overall.

1.6.1 is probably the most balanced, but its not quite there yet with the Deadeye issue.

Can't say I've ever had that issue.
No it doesn't seem to effect everyone. That's why I originally thought it was my older hardware.

Tried pretty much everything I can do.. Dx11 and dx 12, overclock on or off, gpu drivers updated, game reinstall, windows reinstall etc etc.
 
I use > borderless gaming < app which allows me to run a game in window mode but fullscreen. It cost something like .30p when I grabbed it. You can get a freeware copy with a quick google iirc.

It might help it might not, but I've found it's a great unobtrusive program that works in the majority of games so I can alt-tab and use multiple monitors without games crashing. Maybe it's worth a punt ?
