*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

I seem to be back hooked on it again. Enjoying the new classified gear and just enjoying the game in general. Looking forward to the other classified sets coming more so than the current one's but I am a bit of a Defence whore and hoping they stop nerfing it :D

Today I get the exotic chest at Lexington lol now that it doesn't matter anymore. Hey, maybe I'm close to getting an MDR as well :D need to get some survival sorted with as many caches as my character can carry :D

What CPU?

I'm still tinkering on a decent Firearms build. I know now with Classifieds you can get 10K on firearms.. That is the dream.

It's a xeon 5650 @ 4Ghz. I've been considering upgrading but this system still seems to hold its own on an X58 board with 12GB of DDR3

Not sure how Xeons are really, but should be good as if not better than mine at that Ghz.

http://i.imgur.com/dOOqWmH.jpg 4 lots of 210 Stamina, 3% Damage to Elite mods. In the cavern at the moment! ;) I heard it can go to 4%.

I need those mods but firearms ;) I can wait. For the he build and whatever else. For my pm build I'm now using electronic + skill haste mods for a sweet sp increase from 80 to 122K and that's with about 4000+ electronics I think to recall? It can be better but awaiting for the classified version of pm.

Still I'm having the most fun with my full classified final measure build 6, 3, 6 w/ competent and talented on both weapons. Using the 182 Damascus now on all builds for the lowly unlocked coolheaded.

Also, for the first time ever, enjoying a shotgun (tactical SASG 12-K) w/ responsive, destructive, ferocious - nice drop and a high stagger percentage.

And since we're on the subject of CPUs; that's me getting a 8700K as soon as it's released :) :) :) the best gaming CPU on the planet!!

I did run a shotgun firearms build, might go back to it. But the sniper and assault rifle has been my go to ever since release.

Exactly the same for me! I do tend to alternate between an DSR/MMR and shotgun. But this shotgun is too good not to use! Tried it on stolen signal solo and it's a little miracle!! And I'm talking heavy LMG guys. I love it! Anyway, it's going to be the secondary on my classified striker and pm builds.

I should add an optional LMG to the mix. What's the best one? Infantry MG5?

Regarding my final measure build, I've added the on the move talent to the mix so now I can simultaneously seriously increase all three main stats :)

That's my approach to builds and which builds; they may not be the best of the best in this or that category, but for me it's about having fun with a build.

You always play solo don't you?

Best LMG for firearms scaling and base damage is the hungry hog
Best LMG for RoF and damage outside of optimal range is the MG5 - as the values are switched in the files so the further you are the higher the damage.

On the move and critical save are two that I never take off any build, regardless of content then the other two vary depending on group play, build style etc. ADR(all damage resilience) is too good to pass up still. Not sure what you mean regarding increasing all three main stats? On the move is ADR only.

My approach to fun in this game is different lol My goal is to have the most optimal build possible for any content, with the perfect attribute combinations and main stat distribution and I wont stop farming till I achieve that :D It makes a difference tbh, but fun builds like the new lone star are definite guilty pleasures lol I think that's why its so hard for me to give up HE skulls AR in PVP, every player I see I think - that guy could be on the HE build and will do more damage than me..

For main stat distribution, until classified striker comes out there is no benefit to going over 3800 stamina(for ferocious in PVE), it doesn't scale well with its 15 health per stamina point unfortunately. PVP for example - that gives you an extra...2 bullets or something before your dead. lol

BIS majors are health on chest, knees, backpack which leaves the other major on chest, and holster to play with (Haste/EAD/Reload speed if holster) etc along with the 3-3.8k stamina rolls.

I guess the fact I PVP almost constantly in this game, in LS/DZ including solo manhunt plays, has changed my approach to building overall inc. PVE stuff....but then it might also be that I am addicted with close to 2500 hours in the game as well as data mining to find out hidden meanings to things and how various calculations work.

......oh and spoilers/future content :P

Any idea when the next Global Event will be chaps?

It is meant to be 1 month from the start date of the previous, but massive confirmed today it will be slightly delayed as they want to make sure the leaderboards are fixed.

However, there might be a mini weekend GE event before then :)

3 stats I can raise: on the move, competent and talented, is what I meant.

Hungry hog eh. Sold all 25.000 ha ha. Oh well I'm bound to get one sooner or later. DZ bosses right?

@digitalx if it's only mic you want to avoid, add me and let me know of you want to do anything - not everything demands a mic.

Anyone still doing stolen signal? I've never really done it and would like to at least complete it once.

@GAM8LE

I, too, follow those health distribution rules. The only exception is my Classified Final Measure build where I have health on the chest and holster, but skill power on the mask, backpack and knees. See below:

After eating a nade and smart cover; just funny that Toughness. Both Talented and Competent also active, sadly On The Move wasn't :p

That SP isn't benefitting from haste though, therefore not really optimal but completely fine for solo PVE.

As I mentioned, health and haste on chest, health knees and backpack, SP mask, haste holster and haste gloves = BIS.

Move those wasted stamina points(as under 3800 doesn't unlock talents afaik) into electronics.

The higher haste negates and adds extreme benefit to skill power from 185k which you will be above with those changes. Like sub 20s cooldowns on pulse etc. If it was a 1v1 situation, 200k SP with 40% haste would beat 350k+ SP wth zero haste in heals and skills.

tbh though, it really means nothing for PVE so is irrelevant, optimal or a trash build can complete anything - I just always have my PVP hat on as it relates to optimal PVE as well.

Unless you have determined to negate not having haste then its a different story.

Edit: tbh, best build I have found so far for solo PVE is:
3 striker, ninja, 1 Nomad, vig.
40% DTE, 45% EAD, 28% HoK. Determinedd, destructive, competent
Haste in all the BiS places aside from chest and gloves as determined makes up for it

Needs purple FA mods though and are able to maintain 16 stacks

Damn, that's good. Got the 200 electronics from firearms on something??

I have no idea what either of you are talking about :D

- Digital, how do you mean?

- Gamble; I have no real wasted stamina (or do you mean those 2 stamina mods? I have 2 stam+health mods, 3 FA + health mods) on that build and need to have some so I can live (solo). Also, I don't PvP anyway. I have haste everywhere but the holster (17% total though because I'm not using haste mods). I can move the SP on the pack and knees to health, and the health on the holster to haste but I'm a bit reluctant I'll end up with the build I want?

That best PvE build; thought that'd be full HE/Exotic?

Really hoping those purple FA+DtE mods come in next rotation. 4% is the max? I can aim ;)

Any stamina over weapon talent requirement = wasted stamina. And I know you don't PVP - safe room camper :P :D jokes jokes

Full HE/Exotic is good for PVE for sure but in a group as you have support players etc healing you, lots of triage proccing etc etc. Solo, HoK works really well and strikers over 16 stacks beats HE skulls if its sustainable.

I run haste everywhere I can for PVP/PVE as what benefit is +3335 health as a max per mod giving? 1 NPC bullet? I would rather have my heals back quicker tbh and station.

I guess its playstyle, and as I mentioned PVP influences my PVE playstyle heavily now - but its benefitted it for me heavily. I solo a lot still, PVP rogue hunting or going rogue/manhunt and can blast through 3 phase UG/Any CM mission as if its hard mode.

Its meta for a reason lol But doesn't fit for all as it requires timing and is usually followed by proccing adept.

Cheers bud and a shame it wasn't something like every other week but all good.

Somebody has to guard those safe houses; and there's one been raided yet...now give me a commendation for that :p

So having seen my C-PM build and the stats, what would you recommend I change? Those stam mods I presume - I have no other stamina anywhere on anything (I upped it on the holster though, and can move that to whatever else if necessary). None of my weapon talents have stamina unlock requirements, giving me room to maneuver. Or would you replace all main stat mods to FA+haste, or as is (= 2 stam+haste + 3 FA+haste), or throw some elec+haste in the mix?

Very interesting discussion and you raise some darn good points! I could try this and compare it to my other HE build to see how it feels (how great is it that I sold all my Striker gear the other day :D ). You said haste in BiS aside chest and gloves; that'd leave only haste on the holster...? Or do I misunderstand you?

Where do you pull Adept from?
