*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

you want all 6pc set of it,then you will see some real Showstopper power ;)
try and get it-its really worth it
as much as i like Predators, striker is just to fun

i should be online today later on evening if any wants some easy classy gear pc

Where's the best place to farm classified striker gear? I've not had any since the last lot of GE's

New global event starting Monday which will help getting classified gear though more specific types as each GE is themed. (Only way to farm striker stuff is the assault GE which is going to be re-run mid/late July).

Also special equipment vendor now has a classified cache but very low chance of getting one you want.

Another option is to do resistance 10 waves an reset as you can open the rewards container 1-2 times if you do it right.

Like Rroff said since there is no Assault GE atm, probably best chance is to do resistance 10+ waves, aka Pier 93 (there are other 2,but i personally doing only Pier 93 as i used to it and have correct gear)
Also little chance to get it from DZ or LZ bosses,DZ of course being DZ and can be taken by gank squads

Any reason for Pier 93? I've kind of favoured Powerhouse - if you go through the left hand side of the main bit (Maintenance I think it is) it is quite controllable with only one instance at wave 8 IIRC that you have to move from a very defendable position - I notice a lot of players going for the Disposal crate but that is a bad one - Maintenance is much better and has the gun there you can upgrade 1-2 levels for the boss wave to make it easier.

So remember guys this GE is all about long bursts of body shots with the Big Al and under no circumstances should you ever aim at an NPC's head - especially not if it has a blue headshot icon above it and ignore the noobs in team chat repeatedly saying you should aim for the head.

EDIT: Bored with this GE already - getting a lot of indicated headshots, doing headshot level damage, that aren't exploding the NPCs when they are tagged.

Got to wave 25 on Resistance yesterday. Wow that was insane in the end can't imagine what it's like another 5 or so on from there! What's peoples records?

3 named bosses, those huge flame throwing dudes just stormed the storage area and wiped us out almost instantly :D great fun though, only started playing Resistance on the weekend to complete a shield and ended up hooked

I've got to wave 27 on Powerhouse but I've not really tried to set any records - around about wave 25 the difficulty ramps up to legendary and doesn't really get much harder after that just repeats the same patterns with a little more use of disruption and other effects from the NPCs.

I find it fun if you've got the right team but rewards don't really scale above wave 25 - its less stressful, if a bit boring, to rinse and repeat at wave 10.

Reason being you can do proper farming there (not that you cant do elswhere),its just Pier very easy with DF3,i even managed solo to get to wave 18 quite easily

finally get to do shields this weekend now that I am not on tethered internet lol! Have been playing other games but didn't want to download the patch off of mobile data :D

Quite enjoyed the first set of sheilds, easy enough to start off with as well :)

Sucks that a couple of them have DZ requirements - not that I begrudge people who do that some specific awards but given the way they've been put into the game it is kind of a bit meh when the vast majority of people play it for the PVE LZ.

Or more to the point I suspect there is a bit of a cynical attempt to push people towards the DZ with it which is something I hate - either people aren't interested in stuff like that or it is the developer's failings that underpin why people don't take part and that could be resolved by actually fixing things not trying to push people in a direction.

Rroff, I’m not a PVPer either, but I had no problems at all completing the DZ shields (or the daily DZ tasks). I just looped the DZ 9 landmarks, they’re all pretty straightforward. On the odd occasion I saw other players, we left each other alone. Once one player went rogue on me right outside the armoury, I lead him into the landmark, stirred up the NPC and let them deal with him. He ran away pretty quickly.

I read on ubi forums about waves of 4 man striker DZ gank squads, but in the dozens of hours I’ve spent in the DZ over the past couple of months, ive never seen them. I guess they like to hangout in DZ1.

I hope they don’t have any shields in the future related to going rogue or killing rogues...I would draw the line at that.

Cheers

I am a PVPer - well in pretty much all other games - but I find the experience in TD unsatisfactory and don't like that they are putting more effort into trying to carrot and stick people into taking part in the DZ rather than fixing the reasons why so many people don't want to have anything to do with it.

I used to hang out a bit with a player called Dahz in DZ07 and 09 and ran into a fair few 4 man gank squads - not so much the 4 man striker though usually 1 guy running I'm guessing 9K Striker with his 3 reclaimer buddies who'd appear on him once you engaged him.

Not so bothered by that though it was more the inconsistencies of the game mechanics and that so often I ran into players (despite using a min/maxed 6/9K Striker setup with like ~290+GS) who I barely seemed to scratch yet they'd strip my health off in what seemed like 2-3 shots with any weapon at any range.

Just bought the Gold Edition and all the DLC dirt cheap on Steam any advice for a newbie :)

Do your first playthrough solo and explore, as there are lots of hidden caches. Once you are into Manhattan and reach about level 9, you can do a bit of Survival and DZ. You could also start a second Alt and get someone to help you fast level up, then you can join in with pretty much everything.

You will find some of the guys from here use Discord, so you should find someone to play with and to offer any help or advice.

Yeah my advice would be not to try and rush through the game and hit 30. The game is so damn good with the story and just exploring the city. You'll miss a lot of it if you rush through it, and if getting 100% in a game is your thing, you'll only have to explore later on anyway which you'll feel less inclined to do

This is for sale at the moment on steam 80% off seems like a good discount .

Tempted to buy , seen the reviews and they are mixed.

Do you recommend?

And if so should I bother getting the gold edition, I mean what’s the difference?

If it is decently discounted it is a good buy - it is more debatable at full price
