*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

This is for sale at the moment on steam 80% off seems like a good discount .

Tempted to buy , seen the reviews and they are mixed.

Do you recommend?

And if so should I bother getting the gold edition, I mean what’s the difference?
For the price difference, get gold. Its a great game now, well balanced, great story and mostly great mechanics too well worth it IMO!

Gold retails at £72.99 and it’s on steam sale for £14.99.

Iv never in my life bought a game more than £40.

I can only assume that this is good value .

To be honest its exactly the reason I bought it but as I said above having only been playing it for 2 days, (not bad considering I also got Alpha invite to BF V), I really wish I had bought it earlier.

Any time it is decently discounted it is worth it for the level 1-30 game alone - the end game content and some of the issues you may or may not have to contend with post level 30 make the full price debatable.

What is so hard about figuring out how to do the final bit of Dragon's Nest - 3rd team in a row - all players with higher GS and commendation scores so not like new players who just epically fail at figuring out how to press the buttons... :(

Bought and tried this out yesterday.
Despite have a 200Mb fibre connection, I had a "poor network quality" message throughout most (if not all) of my session.
Is this normal?

I've not normally got that - there has been a global event going on which just ended today which puts additional strain on the servers :s

If you joined someone else's team it's possible they weren't in the EU. I get this when I join a friend who lives in Seattle.

Tends to show if not connected to a EU server as well. If I join a US server this usually shows immediately, doesn't cause much lag if any most of the time when the message has popped up.

I got FC5 for free with the Vega 64 (haven't played them since FC1), however after 1 hour, decided to install The Division again.
Felt much better game by miles. Looking forward for the second much more than any other game including Imperator Rome :o

That's probably nailed it.
I paid zero attention to where I was connecting to, so I'm probably trying to connect to the US. Thanks, looks like a nice easy solution.

If you are on a poor connection server you can go into group management and tell it to pick a better server. I much prefer the US servers though, no Chinese chat spam for a start.

Plus a little lag is always helpful in PVP :D

think i might have to hop back into the division for some lulz. think i left when my gear score was 256, what is it now?

If i remember right im running a health survival mix between alphabridge and nomad.

292 or 296 something is the highest - 256 is still the base level for high end gear but you can optimise it then to get that last bit with stuff like classified gear attributes counting a bit more towards final score.

Don't think the AB/Nomad hybrids really work that well with the current state of the game but a full Nomad setup works well and AB has some use. Nomad also pairs up well with other combinations if you want hybrid over a cookie cutter gear set setup.

256 is still the max gear but it's 291 with classified and fully optimised. These days you will be aiming for 6 piece classifieds, so 6 piece strikers, nomad, firecrest etc.

Strikers is the PVP meta these days but all 14 sets are now really great for PVE.

Finding the inconsistencies a bit frustrating - with the new legendaries for instance quite a few people have problems with the boss wave on General Assembly but for me it is a breeze I can even solo it easy but conversely the pretty much same wave on Madison is practically impossible with non-stop disruption even if I stack resistance to it and try to use counter-disruption or other CC, constantly taking damage through walls or having my support station vaporised when it is in cover (and not just behind those panels that don't touch the floor) and I'm already at half health 100ms after sticking my head out of cover making it pretty much a case of hoping the rest of my team can carry me :( (which is kind of ironic as I'm usually carrying most teams upto that point on that legendary).

EDIT: On another note just did WarrenGate with 2x classified striker - who seemed to be able to get tact link back really quick, classified reclaimer and my hybrid setup - ended up swapping out the support station for "super" pulse - stuff died - I suspect we set a record for how quickly it was done hah.

Assault rerun coming Monday - time to break out the Showstopper. (After the first 2-3 days while they react to the inevitable server load but don't bother to scale up the provisioning ahead of time).
