*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

This is annoying. I don't know what's happened, but today each time I fire the game up it starts in windowed mode at 1440x900 and I have to go into the settings and manually select 1920x1080 fullscreen and apply them. Then the next time the game is started it's back in windowed mode and a lower resolution again.

Do you use afterburner? It can cause issues with The Division.
 
I need a good loadout for the last wave on Madison legendary - my hybrid skill build works really well upto that point but then I run into numerous problems with all the disruption, etc. and seems to cause skills to become desync'd and get a load of other issues :(

The bosses and hunter seem to largely just ignore a lot of disruption/crowd control skills as well while the immunity support station seems to do little against their CC/disruption skills :(
 
Bit annoying - loaded up on all the disrupt resistance possible with a modified setup and was disrupted every time - no misses by the NPCs - I'm guessing they've hardcoded it to bypass the normal mechanics which is a ***** game mechanic.

Would actually be easier to play is like solo skill build but then would be pulling the NPCs onto team mates. Don't really want to resort to D3 build for the final wave.

I started playing again, got the 3 freebie sets, Firecrest, strikers and F3 DNC, ive loaded up the Strikers set and i found a Hungry Hippo i think its called and a Shotgun, i seem to be able to hold my own now. But i really fancy trying out a Tacticians build, or a build that allows me to deploy turrets and solo some of the games dungeon things or missions or whatever they are called.

So i need to get a set of Tacticians i guess? should i just spend the 2k Phoenix Credits i have on Green crates and hope to get a Tactician set? or is there a better method to getting a set of gear? also what i was thinking was using an AR and a Sniper Rifle with the Tactician set, i read that i need to use a lowbie 204 or something AR to get the talents unlocked to boost the dmg of the skill based Tacticians load out, is this correct?

i tend to login and do Underground LFG, should i be targetting something else to get better drops? maybe i should be soloing world named or something? it seems the OCUK Clan is pretty dead to inactive in Division now? so im left soloing most of the time. Im afraid to go near the DZ as i just dont think im geared enough to make it worthwhile.

Any advice on what i should be doing for the best return on loot for time spent in the game would be great.

I use 4 of the D3 set so that I can use a submachine gun behind a ballistic shield, then I have The House submachine gun. With that combination I am able to solo everything in the game up to, and including Challenging without any problems at all.

You can solo everything up to and including challenging with any gearset. lol just depends on playstyle which way you want to do it. Where D3 really shines is the 6pc classified and the legendary missions, they are soloable, including the new ones with this set due to the benefits it gives. @Radeon85 regularly does it still.

I always found tacticians a boring gearset for solo PVE to be honest, chucking skills and cowering behind cover so I want for something to utilise gunplay.

4pc strikers is still a super strong set if you don't have 6 piece classified, and if you have a ninjabike backpack you can basically make a HoK striker build with haste from tacticians which is crazy. 3 piece striker, 1 piece nomad, 1 piece tactician, ninjabike.

but then...depends on playstyle @SiDeards73 there are a few who still play on discord but not many.

Cheers @GAM8LE for the info, is Ninjabike farmable? i have some nomad and tactician in my stash, i dont have a full set of Classy gear yet, so that may tide me over til i do. Whats a good weapon setup to use with that gear choice?
 
I was gonna bitch about my team mates not engaging the NPCs that had flanked and pushed us and were downing our team... but then I realised they didn't even seem to be aware they were even there like they were invisible - I'm 99% sure there are some glitches with 1.8.2 where NPCs are momentarily not being rendered for short periods :( I've had it myself a few times where I can't tell where I'm being shot at from then suddenly there is an NPC who has flanked me or got right on top of me unnoticed that I'm fairly sure I wouldn't have missed.

Farmable via exotic caches and DZ landmarks for the ninjabike.

I always a lightweight m4, destructive, determined and commanding and had loads of EAD and DTE rolled onto gear. With the way solo scaling is, you can play with the last of the two talents in two ways - with survivor link or tactical link. Commanding extends the duration of the super with kills, whilst determined reduces cooldowns on kills as well.

For example, Lexington, you can clear a room or the roof with a super lasting almost the whole time, and almost have it back again when its done. lol

Been a while since I played this game, no internet in new house till next Wednesday and don't fancy downloading the update via my mobile data lol

@Rroff oh that's a thing for sure, especially in legendaries. Its like the game cant keep up with the NPC's due to their movement.

There's also a very infuriating bug whereby enemies can shoot you even when you're hiding behind cover and way out of line of sight. I've been getting constantly hit whilst in cover by enemies who are about 100y away since this last patch dropped. I say since this last patch, but I didn't buy the game until a few days before the patch so I couldn't say if it already existed.
 
Some cover BTW isn't bullet proof - a lot of doors and barriers either aren't at all (bug/game engine can't handle moving doors) or can be worn away such as the barriers on Lincoln tunnel which only block 1 bullet then a second one at the same spot goes through - if you look close the first bullet makes a hole in it.

Seeing a fair bit of shots going through cover this patch - my support station has been destroyed by them while deep in cover a few times recently which is annoying but it mostly seems to be in specific places such as the rooftop on Madison.
 
I am really liking this update and the new shields. Still a few bugs but nothing that annoys me overly muchly (trying to call in the chopper in the DZ with my shield out just shoots the flare but still says extraction available on occasions). I have also noticed the cover hits and not good when you are low on health but overall, very happy with how it plays.

Not tried the new Legendaries as of yet but will give them a go after maintenance.
 
I've enjoyed just doing something different - hadn't done a HVT in many months and barely go into West Side Piers (the toon I used to get the 10 named had never been to Camp Clinton!). I also like the DZ Landmarks, I was doing them a lot before the shields and this rewards me for doing so. I mainly hang out in DZ9, very rarely see a rogue and when I do I lead them in a merry dance around the Landmarks where they have to compete with the NPCs and quickly give up.

I've had terrible lag though and non-stop deltas (it took me 7 attempts to get one HVT completed) but yesterday I had an uninterrupted session...hopefully the maintenance will fix it for good.
