The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

I've never played any of the Elder Scrolls game but this looks interesting. Is this an online game where you play with other people around the world or is it an offline role playing game?

Its a single player open world action role playing game. Thankfully they haven't fallen into the trap of making everything MP.

That's interesting thanks for the information, I think I'm going to buy this game, it looks like my kind of thing.

Anyone have links to some good video's to show the gameplay/graphics please?

And where's the cheapest place to buy this game? It's £25 on this supermarkets site with 8% quidco cashback, that good?

I think £25 from Tesco Entertainment (using a code) is the cheapest at the moment.

My mates are obsessed with this game, but all I can see is, it's a multiplayer game - but lacking the multiplayer aspect?

People have died playing WoW, does this mean that making it single player is a better idea?

I really don't get all the interest in this game (Can someone explain it?) whats the point of being a level 200 Warlock if you can't beat up your friend who's a level 6 Wood Elf

I'm really hankering for this game but I have just recently bought BF3. I am seriously considering trading in some of my PS3 games that I never play but I bet they give you peanuts for them these days ?

Yeah most likely, it's not really worth trading 4/5 games for 1 new game in my opinion, just keep the games you have :p.

There are way too many games coming out, I'm worried I'm gonna buy about 5 games and barely have time to play them all.

I was planning on buying MW3, completing that then buying Skyrim but if I get bored of MW3 then I can switch to a completely different type of game like Skyrim!

Cool! Cheers.

I'm hoping I don't get bored or frustrated with this game, I'll have to do a lot of searching and figuring out clues in this game right?

You can play according to your own tastes with most Bethesda rpg games, the great thing since Oblivion onwards is that their games are very accessible even to new rpg players, but also have a tremendous amount of depth, due to this I doubt you will feel frustrated at any stage, they don't exactly hand hold you through their games though like some developers attempt to do nowadays, so it becomes very rewarding as you learn the mechanics and find your own style of play.

Ordered for £25 with free delivery, hopefully Tesco will get it to me on Friday or Saturday!

I'm excited now, read a few reviews and they say a lot of good things about it. Plus I've never played any of the Elder Scroll games so this will be interesting and a fun new experience for me.

Finally decided to pull the trigger and pre-order. Just finished the bulk of Fallout NV, so time for yet another Bethesda game to suck my time away!

I think that Skyrim will definitely be value for money though ,well if it's anything like Oblivion it will be.

I remember when I first got Oblivion I couldn't stop playing it for around 3 months. :D

 Seems like lots of people here are pre-ordering. Hope they can keep up with the demand.

If not, it arrives late and without a physical map, You activate the games key on steam, and return it under trading laws for not being as advertised (you didnt realize it wouldnt have the map until opening it anyway).

Free skyrim.
