The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Pfft. I bought the Witcher 2, months ago and haven't even started it. :p

I haven't decided Gamepad vs M+K. The margin of benefit that the mouse gives you is much less than an FPS, so I might just try both for a bit and see which is more comfortable.

Trying both would be best, but for me it'll be K + M.
Using a keypad on a PC for this type of game is 'unethical' :p

I'm terrible at finishing games. Atm I'm near the end of the 2nd chapter in Witcher 2... must... finish .. before Friday.. AGHHH

You'll love TES games then, you never have to finish them, just keep on playing through the hundreds and hundreds of hours of side quests :)

anyone else think there also trying to get some fable fans with the Can marry people now :) next will be DLC Man's Best Friend or Invest in Skyrims Shops

Good Wiki link thanks, i have this ordered but it will in fact be my first ever Elder Scrolls game !
Hope i can get into it alright and am not overfaced by it all hehe :)

So true, I never finished Morrowind or Oblivion. But thats what I enjoy the most about these games - the ability to get lost & immerse yourself however you please.

I spent most of my time in Oblivion sneaking around & filching stuff at night :p Whereas in Morrowind I spent most of my time gawping at the night sky!

I enjoyed Oblivion a whole lot more once I learned to ignore the main quest and just wander around exploring, that's what it's really designed for.

The Witcher 2 plays very well with a 360 pad, combat is easier imo. I set the game up on 2 systems, my gaming system (m+k) and HTPC (360pad), I found the pad better tbh and played most of the game with it, I'm right at the end of the 3rd chapter but have't been able to make the final push to finish off, what is it with some games? I Just can't bring myself to finish them sometimes. At least I got around to starting it though!:p

I've never played any of the Elder Scrolls game but this looks interesting. Is this an online game where you play with other people around the world or is it an offline role playing game?

It's a single player RPG.

Only had a quick scan of that review - I don't want to read any reviews until I've played it myself. Did notice it was reviewed on the xbox though.
