The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

I always used to use game, but since they started instructing the courier to not deliver until release day, I started getting pre orders 1 day late instead of 1 day early :x

I dont get why they have to do that, just post them 2 days prior to release date on first class, and they all get delivered in time.

Skyrim is gonna be just spectacular!!!! Really looking forward to this. But will be waiting till about May-June 2012 and then get it. Still got Fallout 3 and GTA IV to finish!

Are some people on here REALLY taking days off work to play this?...??? You would lose leave for a computer game?? Or was that a joke lol!

I have 10 days off starting tomorrow:D tbh though i haven't had much time off this year and still have plenty or leave left. And the way i work on shifts means that i only have to take 3 days leave to have 10 days off:cool: As soon as i heard the release date i booked the time off as i normally have time off around this time and don't usually go away

I will only be playing the game in the evenings though as i have set a rule that i don't play games before 6pm now.

thing i find with games like this is they require some sort of decication to them to really get into them and enjoy them so if you live a common life of 9-5, kids/family/friends/diner/work from home/do house stuff it's hard to find the time. you may get 1.5 hours every other evening and tbh you might as well not bother as the enjoyment is much less then what it could be.

although taking holiday off seems extreme it's understandable as, unless you're a kid/student, plenty people wont have the time

Youre mistaken, this isnt a grindfest MMO.

The main story only takes around 20 hours to complete. Leveling is very smooth and natural and happens in a lot less time than you would think, but not so fast that it feels rushed.

TES is really a great casual RPG - you can do whatever you like for however long you like. The 300 plus hours is all casual, optional side questing, you are not forced to do any of it.

We don't live in the stone-age anymore. There's nothing wrong with taking time off work to play a new game if that's what you enjoy. Gaming is a serious hobby for a lot of people, and should be treated as such. I can understand if it's not your cup of tea though.
