The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Game got my DAO shipped one day late - they posted it early enough, but due to their instructions to RM to delay the delivery, the postage started taking a day longer than it should (release day or 1 day late instead of release day or 1 day early!).

They have been doing this for a long time now. For Skyrim they posted them early, but will have told RM not to deliver them until the 11th!

90% of people who shop at Game are not aware of this as only around 10% get their copies a day late.

Oh yea, and it was their response over a phonecall for the above case that put me off using them again, they were helpless, didnt apologize, and said that they arent allowed to send games before release day!

I don't usually preorder from GAME, ever since they mucked up the AoC CE Preorders and such (although that wasn't completely their fault) I've had reservations. But, they were doing the Skyrim CE and I've had a preorder for a while so I didn't want to 'lose out'.

Hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow, or Friday. Whichever is good. Later is baaaaaaaad. And I'll send them a pleasant email. IN BOLD RED.
 
Amazon still haven't dispatched, and due the masses of people saying they'd pre-ordered CoD:MW3 and been guaranteeed release day delivery yet not recieved it till a few days later...I'm tempted to cancel and just go down the Steam route instead. Not overly fussed about the map in all honesty, its whether its worth £5 extra!! :D
 
for £5 I'm going steam route - that way I can check out reviews before I buy !

just slightly worried about this one - loved Oblivion - but hoping and hoping its not consolised

Oh please stop the crap , they push more games for release date then most of the other big companies do in a year....and they do it with minimum problems.

They are not dodgy in anyway and a well respected company for games.voted the best independent retailer this year- sooooo dodgy they won the biggest award in retail - give me a break

I think you misunderstand what I am saying, I'm not saying they are bad, I'm saying that when I first looked at their website, I had a 'this cant be right' feeling.

Now that I have used them and seen how quick they deliver, I will use them for future pre orders too :)

I was recommended them by a work colleague and I felt exactly the same way when I first used them. I've never had trouble with them so far though and I've always got pre-orders on time (or early).
 
I just read some fantastic news from a tweet that Pete Hines made regarding the PC version:

'You cant make the graphics worse than the 360'.

Xbox 360 graphics = LOWEST settings on the PC :D :D :D

I am REALLY looking forward to this now, i think i might not post in this thread after release as i don't really like all the talk of how other people are progressing their stats tbh. Also i don't want to read comments from people along the lines of"OMG i have just reached ***** and it is AMAZING!!!":p

What i do usually like to do is lots of little mini-reviews as i progress through the game. The game is so big that impressions will no doubt change throughout.
