The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Looks like me and my housemate are clearing our schedules for friday as we both have had our preorders shipped earlier today :D I've already told my other half that shes got more chance of winning the lottery than seeing me on friday as its Skyrim day. She asked me "what does that mean?" and I said "its a man thing"....

Bless her

As long as I don't receive it any later than friday then I would order with Tesco again, however I have Zelda pre-ordered at Game. Its been a good couple months for games!

The wife and I were supposed to take Friday and Monday off, have a long weekend to go shopping together and such. She has to go into work on Friday, i'm gutted.

Definitely not being giddy like a 12 year old again.

Completely redid my desktop the other week, inspiring me to clean up icons etc... Can you guess the theme? xD

To be honest, I'm quite tempted to pre-replace the Oblivion Icon with a Skyrim one so it's all ready!

Forgot to add. Had a proper play through of oblivion and the expansion over the last few weeks in prep for this game. Due to that though, really not sure what type of character to actually pick :S

I played as a thief/archer style character on oblivion which got increasingly more difficult as the levels went on due to the massive difference between bow damage and enemy health lol. For the finally of the main quest on vanilla oblivion, I had to lower the difficulty slightly due to running out of arrows and being utterly rubbish with any other weapon apart from a bow!

This is pretty much the class i aimed for in oblivion as well, but sadly it just never worked as i hoped, however in skyrim the bows apparently are much more potent and actually viable to use for long term.

i always like a stealth bow/poison guy but the main quest is pretty much frontal assault or nothing in oblivion and most games, and i'm guessing this will be the same. :(
