The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

You cant enable them both using the ingame settings - You enable HDR ingame, and force AA through the driver.

Not being able to run HDR + AA at the same time was a limitation only on Nvidia hardware at the time, and for some absurd reason Bethesda stupidly made this incompatibility an in game feature!

Ah thanks :) You can force it via the oblivion.ini

I am guessing this will work just fine like this.

Sorry for off topic

Its ok, at least your not whinging about the graphics in Skyrim while running the game on a crap PC that wouldnt even be able to handle anything higher.

Nor whining about the game needing more than 1 Gb Vram and stating that anyone with 1 Gb cards will be having lag spikes and stutter.

Or playing the game for just 15 minutes and claiming that its the worst TES ever

because i would love for a reason to buy me a nice brand new graphics card but aslong as pc games are beeing held back by consoles i dont see the point....

Youre not even running the game at max settings, if you also include AA.

Your PC cannot handle the latest games at 60 FPS.

There are lots of games on the PC that a single GTX 460 and AMD CPU will not be able to run at even close to max. You simply refer to these as being poorly optimised or badly coded because they wont run on your shockingly bad PC.

If Skyrim actually had a much more demanding engine, far higher detail textures, looked 10x better but only ran at 10 FPS on your system, you would be whining about it being poorly optimized and badly coded instead, you wouldnt actually go and upgrade your PC.

Is anyone able to share a VPN trial please? Securevpn arn't taking any more registrations and no-one else seems to have a remotely sane price.

Email in trust if you can find it in your heart. ;)

I made the stupid mistake of logging out of VPNS. I can't log back in and their website is down :(

OK I'm stuck in a room to solve a riddle to open a door. I'm tired of this and I'll leave the game for a while. Back to play The Witcher 2 instead, which at least can utilize my graphics cards.

U mad bro?

Its running at 60 FPS constantly without any lag spikes for me with my GTX 560 ti SLI and only 1 Gb Vram, yet you have a problem with it not constantly burning your GTX 580s at 100% GPU usage all the time?

Oh, and what happened with your earlier claim that Skyrim needs more that 1 Gb Vram hmmmm? Why is it running flawlessly with 1 Gb Vram graphics cards at maxed settings and 8x MSAA without a single lag spike?

The Witcher 2 doesnt utilize your cards at all btw, its only a DX9 game, so why do you play it :D

I thought you were ignoring me all the time? So you managed to unlock the game earlier than it's supposed to?

Your "flawlessly" doesn't work for me

The Witcher 2 is a DX9 game (which doesn't use much vram), but Ubersampling can utilize TRI-SLI of GTX580 and still bring them down to sub 60 fps sometimes, with each GPU at around 99% usage.

Skyrim can also bring my GTX580s down to sub-60 fps sometimes but that's due to driver bug and failing SLI scaling.

I don't get what about the previous Bethesda games made you think it would challenge a high powered gfx card without mods.

I dont get why any of the official screenshots / videos would make anyone expect Skyrim to be graphically demanding game.

but Ubersampling can utilize TRI-SLI of GTX580 and still bring them down to sub 60 fps sometimes.

Which makes 0% visual improvement.

So all it takes for you to like a game is a completely useless feature that does nothing but vastly reduce your framerates.

And let me guess, the only reason why you bought 2, or is it 3 x 3 Gb GTX 580s is just so you could run TW2 with ubersampling enabled?

LOL.

And you blacklist any game that plays wonderfully on a single current video card with only 1 Gb vram, 'because it isnt utilizing your tri SLI 3 Gb GTX 580 lightening editions' :D.

48-60FPS VSYNC ON, EVERYTHING ON HIGH! :D FOV 85 1920x1200 [ 2XAA/16XAF ]

Looks beautiful, runs very nicely

The UI SUCKS MASSIVE ****, it's more than just ugly it's frustrating to use

Damn it, I'm so bloody tempted to get this despite the fact I never really enjoyed or got into Oblivion :(. Toss up between MW3 and this at the minute.

I would vote for MW3. I never finished Oblivion (though I've finished Fallout New Vegas several times). MW3's campaign is good.

But don't make your decision on my words. :)

Ubersampling does bring some visual improvement to me, not to you. TRI-SLI GTX580s are great for Total War Shogun 2 and Metro 2033. TW2 can also benefit from this.

Gonna see if your GTX655/665 SLI can beat my one-year-old machine. :)
