never see this before. strange. you don't have your custom mouse cursor do you?

One annoying thing with dawgurd is the randomly spawning vampires. They killed many guys in the cities who may provide interesting conversations and even tasks.

Before you alt-tab from game to Windows press tab or esc key in game.

I've tried removing my second monitor and cntrl-alt-del + cancel which I read elsewhere might fix it.

I have just reinstalled Skyrim and am having a bit of a problem.

At longish distances when the game loads animals, elks, mammoths, wolves ect, the models are all jumpy when the animal is moving (they jitter very quickly up and down), but ok when standing still. it only does this with medium to large sized animals, small animals and human type models are unaffected by it. I have tried to take a screenshot of it but they come out as normal.

As I have said I have just reinstalled Skyrim on my computer after upgrading to an SSD about a month ago. It ran fine before hand. The only Mod I have installed is the High Def texture pack but the issues still occurs if it is disabled. I have also had a play around with the video setting but to no avail.

Has anyone else had a similar problem and know of a solution?

Yes, I had the same problem. The animals are like statues and bob up and down like they are on a pogo stick. Mine went away a while back. The only things I've done that may or may not have affected it are deleting skyrim monster mod, and dropping the refresh rate of my monitor.

I had a problem with items flying around the screen when I walked into a room, which I googled and found to be related to very high fps of 100+

Since doing those two things, the problem seems to have gone away.

Yeah dont turn v sync off in this game it causes the games engine to go nuts. Thats what i've read anyway.

For some reason I just opened up steam and it is redownloading a ridiculously huge update, almost as big as the game itself :/

Could anyone point me in the right direction for some really good mods (both gameplay and graphics?)

I was thinking of resurrecting my Assassin and making another Skyrim film, but I'm not sure.

As the post above, can anyone recommend some great mods to extend the game? Admittedly I've still never played the main quest, so I guess I could do that. Is the HD Texture pack worth it?

Damn skyrim..

Go to where skyrim is installed on your system.
Right click on TESV.exe
Open the compatibiliity tab.
Ensure "disable visual themes" is ticked.
Cursor problem should be fixed.

How do you lads go about upgrading your mods. After borking up the save game file twice in the past, I am extremely hesitant to touch the NMM once a mod has been installed.

Bandoliers, bags and pouches.
The immersive armour mod.

These 2 mods make the game much better for me.

The 1st does what it says on the tin. Adds a massive number of bags, pouches and bandoliers into the crafting tree. They are also follower compatible. You may also find a "rare" version on an npc but it doesnt happen often.

The 2nd adds a tonne of new lore friendly armour sets. Some are craftable, some are not, some need the skyforge, some need perks and some are added to the level lists so you will see them on random npcs.

Use steam workshop for as much as you can it updates just fine.
As for the NMM, I am the same as you. Ive had to restart due to bugged or broken saves so many times its just not worth updating.

Had to stop playing this....

For some reason my game constantly has a breif 2-3 second freeze every minute or so. Sound keeps playing, but frozen screen. Seems to be triggered by changing weapons aswell.

I have tried uninstalling, deleting all files, reinstalling, with mods, without mods and the problem still persists.

Even Vanilla and no mods with all graphics turned low still does it. I havent got a clue what it could be!
