The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

No probs. You would think some software that calls itself 'mod manager' would look after it, but it doesn't. Bit of a con, it should be called Nexus Mod installer, because my load order was completely borked too.

Well is spoke too soon. Just had two crashes at the same point when a Deathlord began to shout at me. Dowww :mad:
 
If load order didn't sort it out then it's a broken save (assuming you're not getting any conflicts in the BOSS report).

Are all the mods you started that game out with still on there or have you taken some off?
 
Hummmm there are two which I have uninstalled. Even though I followed the uninstall instructions, I guess it may have buggered my save.


Edit: GRRR and another crash. It has been fine for the past week. So if it is a buggered save, why would it only be affecting me now!?

Edit: And again. But I have discovered that it is the 'Fus Ro Dah' shout specifically. And more specifically the word 'Ro'. As the Draugr only say 'Ro Dah' it crashes before they even shout anything, you can just see them doing the animation. Whereas your character shouts the full phrase, you can hear 'Fus', and then it crashes.

Nice. Someone used that mod due to the same problem:

I found this mod, due to the fact that my game crashes whenever these ******* shout, its the CTD without error reports, just straight to Desktop, Thanks for the decent mod!

Found a thread on the problem. One guy reports:

I had this exact same problem. Disabling the "Realistic Thunder Sounds" mod corrected it. Hopefully it works for you too.

I have that MOD installed. I'll try disabling it :)
 
there are draugr in the very beginning of the same, bleak falls barrow. the boss at the end of that does dragon shouts. An easy way to test would be to use god mode to zip through to that level and fault find on a clean game, its half hour of your time max.
