The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Amazon. Should have paid attention in school :p

<---- Herp Derp.

I thought it was actually a different store. I didnt know why people kept saying The Rainforest.

Ziip is an extra £8 than simply games for an early emailed key.... I dunno if thats worth it as Simply Games say it will be delivered by release day.

Ziip let you select Steam Digital Key Only, which I assume they will send you (from reading the delivery options) on the 10th of November. It's only 29.99 if you do it this way.

Edit: Aye

"At the time of purchase, you can select the option to recieve your CD Key early via email. On pre-order games (games not yet released) we aim to issue codes as soon as we recieve our stock in. This is usually a day before release and gives you time to download the game via Steam or Origin (whichever is appropriate to the particular game)."

Edit: Tbh, I don't think I'll take the risk and just pay £34.99 on steam lol. At least I'm guaranteed to have it on the 11th, rather than the possibility they will mess up with the key email.

Its £32.99 on Ziip though, £24.85 on SimplyGames.

Ah, SimplyGames raised the price to £26.85, so I'll keep my preorder with them thats still £24.

Right i am going to put in my pre-order tonight, i think i read somewhere that every edition comes with the map, is that right?

I will probably go with Amazon in the end, though i would like a guarantee that it would be delivered on day one.

Still undecided if i will use the 360 pad or not. i might just use the keyboard/mouse with USB extensions so that I can play on the TV from the sofa. I think i said earlier that the only upgrade that i will be doing for Skyrim is my sofa!

The premium burlap paper map comes inside the box of every pre order.

If anyone needs to get some time off on the 11th to play the game, heres a nice sick note you can use:

:p

Well I have to say thtat looking at these three screenshots of Imperials from Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, Skyrim looks seriously awesome:

Morrowind Imperial

Oblivion Imperial

Skyrim Imperial

Now thats some MASSIVE improvement to the characters :)

Funny that Oblivion still doesnt look dated in terms of the environments with QTP installed, but the character models are absolutely atrocious.

Skyrim wallpapers are up on Facebook.

Mind adding a link?

Sadly, I can't book the 11th off, my mate is off the same day so I have to be in the office... Grrrrrr!

However, I am considering taking the following week off! BUT, I might need my holiday for other things :P

Just to say for anyone who is looking to preorder, i just got a confirmation email from simplygames where i ordered it for £26.85 and it said this-
"Pre-orders
Thanks for pre-ordering The Elder Scrolls - Skyrim on PC. This title will be shipped to you in time for it’s release date, which is currently 11/11/2011. We normally receive stocks for pre orders 3-5 days before the release date and ship out in good time for you to receive the order by it’s release date.
Please note: Release dates for games do change! If this happens, your order will simply be carried forward to the new release date – no action is required on your part. Your card will only be charged for the goods once they have been despatched to you.

So fingers crossed i should get it by release date:)

As i said, i have not used them before so i am slightly hesitant.

I hope there are some hilarious bugs again, as I was reminded how great they are on Oblivion only last night.
I went into Olav's tap and tack in Bruma to find Gromm inexplicably trying to have a fight through a closed door with the cook! I opened the door and the cook starts exchanging spells with Gromm's axe swings and the fight soon spills out into the street, Gromm manages to kill the cook before being set upon by guards, he is overwhelmed and suddenly dissapears into thin air! All the while i'm wetting myself laughing. :D

Really looking forward to this, especially now we've got over with the much hyped launch of Battlefield 3.
Loved Fallout 3, not sure how they can fail with this follow up. Bring it on!

I have been looking forward to this for a while now. Can't wait until the 11th :)
After that over hyped poo I just paid £30 for, I need something decent to play. This will most certainly be that! I loved oblivion and the expansions so I am pretty sure I will love this.
Only thing I am not sure of, is where to pre order it. I was going to do it on steam, but am not so sure yet.

NPCs will still do this and fight each other with the Radiant Story AI :p

Hence why quest important NPCs will be made unkillable again.
