The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Bit the bullet and preordered for PC, also ordered a wireless receiver so I can use my control pad. Have a feeling the dual wielding gameplay will just feel better with a pad.

I already got a wireless reciever for my 360 controller last week after buying Alice Madness returns because my controller just ate its 7th + 8th AA batteries in less than 6 months :x.

Also loads of other tidbits in preperation for my new huge desk thats coming at the end of november - Boogie Bug mouse mat and a Roccat Apuri USB hub (I have my wireless adaptor, phone charger, and 360 charging cable and reciever plugged into it :)).

But I will have to wait until 10 days after Skyrim arrives to play it on my new epic desk :(

I'm not sure if i'm allowed to post this (someone let me know and i'll happily remove it)

I believe this is a clip from the 25mins of gameplay video that is circulating

Hopefully this will be fixed before release :P

I'm always a short blade, persuasion, illusion type.

I tend not to use Heavy Armor or Block at all from the spellsword class, but I have them as majors to keep Willpower and Intelligence spell schools seperated into major / minor for much easier control over leveling.

Ideally I would take all the spell schools as majors plus Blade, but then you cant get +5 Willpower and Intelligence multipliers every level.

Skyrim will be a lot more better for my playstyle as I can level my skills however I want as there wont be any annoying multipliers, and pick any perks. I'd want to try and fully perk every magic school plus enchantment and blade, but I dont know if it it will be possible to get that many perks :(

If not I will have to drop whichever spellschool helps my spells the least, and that seems to be conjuration as the perks in that school mainly boost your summoned creatures and weapons.

I just don't play the game like that ;) I mostly just tool around robbing stuff, charming people and stabbing.

I'm interested to hear how many will be downloading this from Steam versus taking the gamble with a retail copy arriving on time. I have been burnt so many times lately with the latter. Think I might go straight for the Steam download. Missing out on the burlap ( or paper ) map doesn't really bother me.

I pre-ordered retail copy from Ziip, they email you the key from your box first to get you going, so best of both worlds.

It's only £2 cheaper than Steam and I have no use for a boxed version so I think i'll stick with ordering it from Steam unless a cd-key comes up stupidly cheap somewhere reliable.

Super hyped for this.

Havent watched the new leaked gameplay either, going to soldier it like a man for the next 10 days. It's hurting me dearly but i can make it.

Still cant decide what platform to get it on. I game predominantly on my PC but for comfortability factor and ease of use ive pre-ordered for my Xbox. Im also worried about release day PC bugs.

Anyone convince me otherwise?
