Guys I just reinstalled Skyrim (I can hear the laughs...gimme a break :p )

A quick (n00b-style) question. After installation I checked the Data files using the Skyrim Launcher and saw these:

Does this mean Steam client auto-updated the game *AND* installed the Bethesda HD textures? Is that what they are?

Thanks :)

Want my list then? It's only focused on visuals and no ENB stuff, hardly touches on gameplay, some UI stuff.

I have not played in a while, so could do with clearing some out, and also, a lot need updating haha.

Anyone got some tips on how to make money quickly and easily? I'm not after loads, I just need 2000 so that I can get a house. I have loads of equipment that I have to carry around (Lydia already carrying a load), and I need somewhere of my own to store it all. I did read about making potions, so I made an invisibility potion only to find out it would sell for a mere 53 gold :(.

Keep asking Unigren in Riften about maven black briar, using persuade. Get speech upto 100. Max out first part of speech perk tree.

Get the earrings mod from the nexus, install.

Go around the blacksmiths of skyrim, buy up iron ore.

Transmute iron ore into gold ore.

cast gold ore into gold ingots.

Make gold earrings (2 ingots = 1 set). Each set has value of 750.

Enchant set with fortify one handed.

Sell onto merchants for 1000 each.

You can make upto 20 grand in one sitting. Only problem is merchants don't seem to carry much more than 3000 each, so be prepared to do a lot of fast travelling.

Alternatively, just type 'player.additem 0000000f 20000' in the console.

360 degree movement animations.

Also, not sure if this has already been mentioned, but for those using SKSE (everyone should be) there is a command line that will clear out your save game of unregistered scripts and reduce bloat leading to improved performance and far less compatibility issues, especially for those who have clocked many hours.

You can either type it in the console or add it to skse.ini (data\skse\skse.ini). I would recommend the latter for continuous save game cleansing.

ClearInvalidRegistrations=1

Ive been playing a lot of dark souls lately and it has showed me what i didnt like about skyrim and thats the combat

Are there any proper mods out there that overhaul the combat? Maybe even make it better in third person, some sort of lock on etc like dark souls?

Ive always wanted to enjoy skyrim but aimlessly swinging a sword was kibd of a down side for me

Thanks

Got this running on my current game- Dawnguard Delayed Start. Makes it so that Dawnguard does not start until a level specified by you. I have it set to level 50....I find it really annoying that I have just entered Whiterun at level 10, after only just seeing the Greybeards, only to be confronted by the start of the Dragonborn quest, come out of that conversation to be confronted by the Dawguard guy!...everything happens at once. Same with Fallout games as well, all DLC just starts when you start a game.

Essential to me!

I seem to remember being killed many times by a Morag Tong assassin in Morrowind at Level 1 when resting being very annoying as well!

Guys please can you help me!!

Ive reinstalled Skyrim. Now Im trying to track down the mods I **USED TO** have when I was playing it before I uninstalled.

They were vegetation mods and fortunately I had taken some screenshots.

Im trying to find it again would any of you be able to tell what mods would result in vegetation like this?? Im desperate to find them again :(

Thank you!

Can you ID these vegetation mods??

Also..I seem to remember that glowing bug had something to do with the vegetation!!
