The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Is anyone using Climates of Tamriel with the current STEP 2.2.6? I really loved CoT but it's not on that list so I'm wondering if it's incompatible?

Never mind, it's working. What ENB version and profile is the go to these days? I installed 0.119, but I'm getting the sun shining through objects etc.

I might be enticed to install a ENB.

I have been against them for the most part, but after seeing a screenshot of one looking like vanilla but with the dark scenes being properly lit.

So yea, I'm looking for one that doesn't make it look like a childs program, I like the dull pallet in vanilla, it's the north, it's meant to be depressing.

But night times are too bright for my liking. So, I would like a suggestion for an ENB please :)

Just re-updating my mods and whatnot and noticed that Midas Magic and Invested Magic are no longer being updated.

Basically the 1 thing which made me install Invested Magic was the new armour spell logic where it took a base amount of your mana to keep up but lasted forever. Mostly because this was so convenient for conjuring and whatnot.

Is there another magic mod which does this which people are now switching to or is it best to just keep the outdated Invested Magic mod?

Also, as a replacement for Midas, how is Apocalypse Spell Package? One of my worries with this type of mod is how over the top and overpowered they can be, and how bad the spells can look.

I'd love some recommendations in regards to magic mods from people who're more up to date than me, but I think one overhaul mod with a spell addition mod is probably enough for me.

How about sharpshooters?

I like these, they really add a dark brooding atmosphere,

Holy mother, the first one (Winterheart II) looks AMAZING!

Totally giving that a shot when I get home.

As for my current mods, will they need to be removed for this to work? Such as Lush Grass and Trees?

Nope no need to remove any mods, just download the correct d3d9.dll from the ENBdev site and install it to the skyrim folder. Then just install the files from that whiteheart profile folder and put them in the same location

The Wilds is an excellent ENB config if you can still find it somewhere.

That said, Climates of Tamriel has a number of compatible ENB configs on its description page, so I recommend referring to that as a starting point.

Don't forget to check out Realistic Lighting Overhaul or Enhanced Lighting and FX too (and compatibility with your current list of mods, of course).

Anyone know how to fix this sunglare problem with ENBs?

Saw the Skyrim legendary edition is only £20 now. I don't have any of the DLCs but would like them for completeness - is it worth just picking up the legendary edition as the price is the same (or a little less!) than picking up Hearthfire, Dawnguard and Dragonborn separately. I have the DVD version of Skyrim that I bought when it first came out.

Are mods etc. are all OK for the legendary edition as long as they are compatible with all the DLCs? I presume that I'd need to uninstall Skyrim and remove it from my Steam list before installing the legendary edition - this is no problem as I'm putting together a new PC at the moment so will just need to remove from the Steam list.

Legendary edition is just a bundle on Steam mate, not a seperate game. You won't get a second copy of Skyrim to do whatever with either.

I was under the impression that it installs on steam under it's own name with all the DLC, but I can't use the DLC in the legendary edition to upgrade my current retail DVD. Waiting for the summer sales as it currently costs more to buy all the DLC than it does to just get the legendary edition!
