Hmm I have 2GB with minimal stuttering, sometimes there isn't much you can do when it comes to the engine beth uses. I only use a max of 1565 VRAM on my 660. Even with 4GB cards you can sometimes stutter

Try dropping shadows to low and grass shadows off!

Just be warned that messing with the launcher might screw up your ini settings and will need to be edited back again ( FOV )

I have stutter and I have an SSD Samsung Evo

But then I'm running a number of mods and scripts, some scripts can cause stutter. But it was nothing like as bad as on a stand hard drive

Well if you have a few hundred mods installed, or some script heavy mods or both, your savegames will bloat to the point that you begin to get stutter even on an SSD. Have you tried to savegame cleaner?

Just installed this again...going to try and do the mods one more time and hope i can get them close to the quality i used to have lol.
Installed it on my SSD this time so that should be better. Just need to decide on what ENB to use now.

That looks freaking amazing. Only problem is it's designed for CoT and RLO etc, none of which are compatible with STEP. Have you any tips for installing it alongside STEP?

I'm looking to play Skyrim again with some mods to make it better. I don't want gameplay changing mods, but more enhancements, bug fixes and general improvements, eg that amazing interface I keep seeing.

Can anyone recommend me some mods? It's quite difficult to sift through the entire thread.

I looked at that as part of STEP, but I thought the change was too subtle.

First post is massive with a shed load of stuf to do.
Just got this (I know, I'm pretty late to the party!), my PC is still fairly good and I'll be playing it with a pad on my big TV @ 1920x1080.

Are there one or two essential mods or tweaks? I can't do all of the stuff in the OP, it'd take me three weeks to download and install it all!!

Neil, is Dragonborn DLC any good? I don't like the styling of that world but I'm curious to play new content. I hate the Dwemer and their stupid dungeons, so I'm bound to hate those dragon priests etc lol.

I should make people aware that STEP (using most of the extended mods) is using anything from 75-100% of my 2GB VRAM, so I get stuttering now and again.

Ok guys,

After long advice I have now purchased the above game, please note it is not the legendary version as I did not think it made much difference.

Now before I play it, I would now like to mod it to make the graphics really good and also add any advisable additions. I know where all the mods are (nexus) but with so many and the fact that I am a newbie at all this I'm going to need some help please....

Could anyone give me a list of the mods/patches I am looking for and also a lamen's guide to how to install these??
