The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Got a link to the STEP thing?

I really don't want an ENB with all the DOF crap, vibrant warm summer colours and stuff, it just isn't Skyrim.

There are plenty ENBs without DoF and overly saturated colours. Pick and choose what you want. ENB also have moving land shadows from clouds, sun rays, Ambient Occlusion, Bloom etc. I can't remember the name of the feature, but it has that adapting eye thing. If you're in a bright area, shadows look really dark. Once you move into the shadow, you "eye" adapts and you can see in the shadow, but everywhere else becomes very bright.

I used to have over 100 mods with this but had to format the PC.
Ever since iv not been able to get it looking anywhere nearly as good lol...very annoying.
Maybe its the order I install the mods or im forgetting things but i just can't get it to look as good.

Stupid nexus is down again.

:( really need get on aswel having a few problems with micro-stuttering and heard there's a mod that can help aswel as downloading the no borders mod.

Anyone else had the micro-stuttering? ive read that if i run off one core it should fix the problem but im already running off one core so do you recon it might work if running off 8 cores instead?

Depends on what on mods you are running, if any! Some texture mods can push your vram too high and cause micro-stuttering/stutter. The high res texture pack dlc from beth is also well known for causing stuttering

It's not a core issue though as I'm using an I5 and have no problems

I'm looking to play Skyrim again with some mods to make it better. I don't want gameplay changing mods, but more enhancements, bug fixes and general improvements, eg that amazing interface I keep seeing.

Can anyone recommend me some mods? It's quite difficult to sift through the entire thread.

Cheers.

Running a few texture mods, water, rocks and trees. Will have another tinker with it see if i can get some other mods that dont give me the same stutter.

D3DOverrider?

I use it for games like Borderlands that have the stutter when panning.

Might help.

Just to make people aware, D3DO won't work when using ENBs. ENB crash when using any sort of overlay like Rivatuner OSD, Afterburner, Precision etc. You could try forcing triple buffering through the control panel?

Populated paths/roads has been updated to 1.23, I'd recommend selecting upgrade and choosing the no script selection in nmm when installing. Have updated op to reflect this

Added guard dialogue overhaul however please note ( If you are installing a GDO compatible Mod that comes with SPIKE, such as Immersive Armors, just overwrite SPIKE as all versions are the same ). My mod list contains Immersive Armors!

Thanks for suggesting GDO neil, been a while since i checked it out. What i think would go well with this as it does make a difference is Improved Close Faced Helmets http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15927/?

Funniest follower mod i have used and has not been mentioned here is Throthgar- A Fully Voiced Follower http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48797/?, he hums the dragon born song when he is killiing things and has some adult one liners :p. A nice simple follower mod i use to go along with him is Simple multiple followers http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31581/? and has worked with no problems for me and is easy to use ;)

Added femfeet as it makes feet look more life like, I think there's a hand mod too. Vanilla npc model textures are a bit poor.

Make sure to install number 25 in the list first, (DIMONIZED UNP female body) can't link that one :)
