The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Evening all :)

Finally decided to give skyrim a bit of mod work and give it a replay as I only had 40 some hours on it!

So I installed ENB RealVision mod (latest from nexus via NMM). The mod its self works fine but I'm getting an odd bug that is capping my frame rate at 48 (well 47.9) fps. Its not a limit on cards, both of my 780's are sat around 30% usage, also using downsampling from 2880x1620.

Any ideas? Or anything better then the ENB mod I should be using?

Edit: Must be to do with downsampling, put it back to 1080 native and frames shot up above 100.

The ENB has an FPS limiter but I think it's disabled by default.

Can any one give me some advice or tips i have been messing around with mods and stuff and got the game looking pretty awesome.

The one problem is a lighting or shadow issue.

Its hard to describe or explain but i can be in a certain area and i can take one step froward and the lighting will just pop in if i take a step back it will just disappear.

i downloaded a shadow striping fix hoping that would help it didn't :(

I have about 55 mods including realistic lighting overhaul and wearable lanterns.

The engine used for skyrim only allows for 4 light sources on screen at once. What you're seeing is what happens when more than 4 light sources are present.

This is down to mods such as RLO, ELFX, relighting skyrim etc which light up every light in game, it's made worse when you increase the lighting radius with brighter light mods, enbs etc. Not a lot you can do to fix it as it's game engine related.

getting fed up with Nexus the last few days. I'm trying to redo my Skyrim mods, (had over 150 plugins and was pulling over 6000mb of VRAM and more than 6500MB of System Ram lmao) Became quite stuttery in places, so I'm now dialliny back the amount of 4k HD textures.

I have a question though regarding the ingame ENB menus. What I'm finding is the light is so damn bright in places, the clouds are overly bright on the horizon and the sky is more bright. I can't seem to find good compromising settings for my ambientday levels, my sunlight, cloudlight, bloom, skylight and also the daysaturation and dayintensity levels. The default levels are just overwhelmingly bright using ENB Realvision .246. Can you suggest or write down what light levels you guys use from your enb?

I do hope you intend to limit your frames to 60 in some way, over 100fps is going to make crazy **** happen with the physics.

Have not seen it mentioned here but it looks like the days of skyrim crashing may be over . It works through SKSE. here is a link to the discussion about it http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1340369-skyrim-memory-patch-fixing-ils-ugrids-ctd-freezes-for-real/ and here is the link to a compiled and working version https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/22841244/skse%2Bmempatch%2Bsteampatch.rar. Hope its not against the rules to link a dropbox account here if it is i will remove it, there is also a thread about it on Sands of time mod with the link in it here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12452/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D12452%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D600490&pUp=1. It does seem to be working as i have started loading up script heavy mods and have nopt had a crash to desktop yet :)

Holy ****! Currently, about every hour I'm either getting a CTD or freeze on loading screens (when going through a door). My workaround to is quicksave before walking through a door or entering a new area. I just put it down to having most of the mods from STEP installed. If this will allow me to use ugrids 7 without any stability issues then he can have my first born without any problems haha.

I got this from a Twitch Streamer i watch quite often... added it to my install last night and fingers crossed no crash's for the first few hours.
