The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Very happy with Cinematic ENB after a few tweaks :)

New ENB v.251 adds LOD bias.. IE. you can choose how detailed you want your distant textures.
Works fine.

Images of what started as "Franks ENB" which just adds DOF and AO to the standard colour palette, but after some twiddling it ended up something like this.. :)

Wrye Bash users... If I delete the mod installers from the mods folder (not removing the mods, just their install zip/7z files etc) will it affect the game/wrye bash? I'm 95 hours into my game and won't adding any more mods, but would love to save the 10GB on my SSD that the mod installers are currently taking up.

Sigh, I hate it dropping to 50/55 fps with all the texture mods in towns, the point of getting the 280x was to stop that! Also, is there any OSD that works with ENB's?

I don't think so. I limit mine to 60, but I never go really go below that indoors. Outdoors, I frequently see 35-40, usually it's 45+. That's with all of the core mods and 95% of the extended mods of STEP + RealVision ENB however.

Ah I see, np

I've improved the game big time by using "Dynamic Vsync". Have not tested an ENB yet

Current ENBs have VSync built in but I've not tried it. I hate screen tearing, but I had input lag even more and skyrim seems to suffer from it particularly badly for some reason. I just learned to get used and ignore the tearing.

After testing a number of ENBs including Realvision I'm going to have to go with COT that isn't an ENB. Granted it's nice having certain lighting aspects and DOF with Realvision but I can't stand anything under 55fps. In towns the frame rates drop to about 43 and 54+ inside.

There is also a depth of field mod that you can get that also looks good and doesn't tank your system :)

COT is still broken though despite it having the final 'update'. There are a few overcast types of weather during the day that send everything dark and cloudy but the grass stays bright like it's sunny, looks bloody ridiculous.
