The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

These last few days I've had issues loading saved games, basically crashing to desktop. After extensive testing it turned out to be forcing 16XAF in the driver control panel or using RadeonPRO. By using the in game AF - iMaxAnisotropy=16 in Skyrimprefs.ini instead they are all working fine :D

Good find. I had been having random crashes yesterday after setting 16XAF in driver that morning after a full reinstall. I've changed it back to use the INI and not had a crash this afternoon.

You might want to change the OP to the above.

The latest enb's are really punishing, since the 2.45 binary and up I think. With all the effects on it even pegs my pair of 780 Ti's at 90% usage each at times.

I don't suppose anyone has a copy of something previous to 2.45 lying around? With the latest 2.51 my HD 7950 takes a hammering even with everything turned down to minimum :o

Well 2 days and counting and am still rebuilding my game, testing it every 5-10 mods and everything is working nicely so far.

Only problem I found is that am really hitting what I can do with my system, Riverhead kinda lags up a bit so am going to fix that by reducing some graphic settings and maybe reducing my resolution.

Real clouds hasn't been updated in a very long time and causes this above with mountainside clouds

but the white bordered tree issue makes it effectively unusable for those of us who don't play with ENB

also

its not compatiable with COT yet

If you want great mist use the new Serenity ENB, best looking mist i have seen when i was using it :)

Someone else's screenshot but you get the picture, link to enb http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51343/?, this enb also got the best dam DOF i have used, it works great in third person as well as first. Ah man i am most prob gonna have to go back to it soon :p

Real clouds is fantastic and it works fine with CoT, it just takes away some of the CoT cloud effects...but Real Clouds is better anyway.

If it can be refined, real clouds will be great. At the moment it's just too much of a performance hog, and too buggy for my liking which is a shame.

River**wood** ;) is a weird resource hog in skyrim. On i7 2600k at 4.6ghz, and a pair of 780Ti's here, and it still dips down to around 45fps when you look in certain directions in Riverwood.
I know certain mods have a negative effct here - weirdly Enhanced Lights and FX, indoors only, used to have a bad impact on framerate here. I'm not using that anymore (using customised Realistic Lighting Overhaul) and I still get weird dips.
I think it's just the game engine at certain points, and no amount of hardware you can throw at it will make it better.

I kept calling Riverwood, River Run for ages. But yeah, I notice dips there and also at the top of the steps at Dragonsreach. Even reducing all settings down, I still see dips just not as noticeable. Frustrating but just have to learn to live with it.
